Responsibilities include:

  • Educate and support software engineers on DevOps tools, processes and best practices.
  • Configures and maintains DevOps tools in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Automates DevOps processes and tools using tool configuration/settings, Linux/shell scripting, and workflow processing.
  • Assists software engineering teams with implementing DevOps tools such as Github, Nexus/Artifactory, Jenkins and others to achieve to Continuous Integration and Deployment, and automated Testing.
  • Creates scripts to automate DevOps tools and contributes to our job library.
  • Secures environments in accordance with client security requirements.
  • Makes recommendations on DevOps tools and configurations based on  unique customer requirements.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years software development experience required (AWS experience a plus) and/or System Admin (Linux preferred, Windows accepted) and/or
  • Configuration Management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of shell scripting on Linux systems.
  • Desire and ability to learn to new tools and technologies quickly.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools including Jenkins, Nexus/Artifactory, GitHub/Git Source Code Repository, as well as others.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills for tool configurations, job/process automation, and design and testing of software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
