Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. May also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.

Job Description

Corporate Allocations Specialist responsibilities will include 50% Corporate Allocations /50% Sampling duties:

  • Corporate planning and Forecasting activities of each corporate cost pool benefiting AFS
    • Assist with AFS forecasting templates to be rolled up in TM1
    • Assist with the review of actual's against Plan and provide commentary on variances
    • Assist with the preparation of updated forecast if necessary
  • Development of the corporate cost allocations that will be posted into Cost Point for AFS and ASM
    • Assist with the preparation of analysis and report that will be used as basis for the allocations
    • Create and process monthly journal entries (Allocations and Direct Assignment)
    • Assist with the quarterly true-up calculations of adjusting journal entries if necessary
  • Maintenance of the corporate budgets for allocation to AFS
    • Quarterly or Yearly review and discussions with AFS Functions and Corporate owners to validate allocation pools for allocability.
    • Ensure that cost accumulation and allocation approach is compliant and auditable
    • Maintain adequate supporting documentation regarding services descriptions, agreements and pricing approaches
    • Assist with the Monthly/Quarterly cost center review
  • Approve Internal WBSe creation requests and review monthly charges for compliance.
  • Execute analysis of sampled costs for compliance with Accenture / Federal polices and FAR/CAS guidelines to ascertain allow ability and ensure unallowable costs are excluded/ removed from the Incurred Cost Proposal (ICP)
  • Prepare statistical samples and all requisite sampling documents and records to support Accenture’s removal of unallowable costs and ICP submission to the Government (Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA))
  • Conduct SAP data extractions and analysis
  • Develop and track to work plans and support training material processes
  • Support audits, internal communications, reporting, process improvement and root cause functions
  • Assist with other ad-hoc projects as requested
  • Sustain Accenture’s culture and values; ensure these are visible to our people
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS / BA degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field required

  • Minimum of 1 year Budget and forecasting experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with SAP
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Budget and forecasting experience
  • Prior experience working with SAP is highly desired
  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Access and Excel
  • Must have strong project management and facilitation skills
  • Strong time management/ multitasking/ problem skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Prior experience working for a commercial organization that has a federal subsidiary   
  • Hands on experience with the FAR, CAS and GAAP                                                                                                                                                    
  • Cost Allow ability/ FAR 31 experience
  • Experience with or knowledge of conducting audits/reviews of policies, processes and practices against US federal contractor operating requirements, particularly related to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and CAS (Cost Account Standards) is preferred
  • Experience working with or for DCAA and/or DCMA is preferred
  • Experience with Incurred Cost Submissions is preferred
  • Experience with cost and pricing data, contract terms and conditions preferred
  • Sampling/ audit experience
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 31, CAS and US GAAP
  • SAP

  • TM1
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite emphasis Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of EZ Quant preferred

  • Must have excellent communications skills both verbally/ written and the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
