WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Constructing optimal AWS-native integration patterns as guidance to the Product Teams
- Supporting the Product teams in optimizing their detailed designs for close integration with AWS services across the 6 Well Architected pillars (Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency and Cost Optimisation and Sustainability)
- Reviewing code implementation to assess alignment to the above-mentioned design principles
- Working together with the Data Engineer & Senior Data Architect in designing and developing the data landscape
- Working together with the Landing Zone experts in ensuring the account structure and capabilities are set up in a way that supports the Cloud Foundation and Business Product teams' development and operations
- Deploy into AWS environments using AWS native services e.g. Lambda, API Gateway
- Create cloud infra-architecture, in discussion with enterprise solutions architects
- Create the DevOps pipelines to deploy the applications to the various environments
- Working together with the security specialist in designing the security log aggregation, controls and audits across the accounts
- Assisting in the set-up of all ITSM capabilities via AWS-native solutions and/or integrations with external tools
WHAT WE EXPECT
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on development on AWS in designing and deploying solutions on AWS platform, with specific experience in Lambda, EKS and S3/CloudFront static website/asset distribution
- Knowledge and at least one concrete experience with development in Java, Javascript and Python
- At least one experience in implementing data engineering and data processing using AWS services: Lambda, Kinesis, RDS, Redshift
- Experienced in creating CI/CD Pipelines
- Proficient in security tools integration into CI/CD pipelines e.g. Fortify, Clair, Twistlock
- Experienced with DevSecOps tools: Bamboo / Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus Artefact repository, Jira, Confluence
- Versed in Infrastructure as a code (Terraform / Cloudformation), GCC AWS Infra provisioning
- Minimum 2 years of intensive experience in architecting development, operations and security solutions on the AWS Cloud
- Experience working with Government Commercial Cloud infrastructure and preferably AWS.
- Fluent English (Level C2 as per the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR))
Educational Qualification
Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
Recommended Certifications
- AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional
- Certified AWS Developer - Associate is a plus
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty is a plus
