JOB DESCRIPTION
This role supports the Corporate Actions function for Global Markets, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions. The Associate / Senior Associate plays a critical role in safeguarding client assets, minimizing Assets at Risk, and supporting the firm’s risk and control objectives.
- Process mandatory and voluntary corporate action events accurately across key market dates (e.g., announcement, ex-date, record date, election, payment).
- Reconcile corporate action events and ensure timely and accurate client entitlement and payments.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve daily breaks and fails related to corporate actions and custody operations.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for corporate actions processes, market practices, and asset servicing workflows.
- Manage and support requirements of high-demand Prime Brokerage and institutional clients.
- Liaise effectively with Front Office, Middle Office, Trade Support, Oversight teams, custodians, agents, and counterparties.
- Monitor system exception queues to ensure all corporate action-related items are reviewed, actioned, and cleared daily.
- Support ad-hoc business requirements, including:
- Reviewing and updating procedure documents
- Participating in UAT and system enhancements
- Providing support for audit, risk, and control reviews
Requisitos
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree holder, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline relevant to trading and financial markets.
- Proven experience handling Mandatory and Voluntary Corporate Action events within a trading or investment banking operations environment is mandatory.
- Hands‑on exposure to end‑to‑end corporate actions processing, including entitlement calculation, event lifecycle management, and stakeholder coordination within trade/settlements operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with Front Office, Middle Office, custodians, and external counterparties.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong time management, task prioritization, and consistent adherence to trade and settlement deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate breaks, exceptions, and complex event scenarios.
- A collaborative team player with a high level of commitment, ownership, and enthusiasm for operating in a fast‑paced trading environment.
