Strategic partnerships help small businesses compete more effectively for federal contracts, build credentials, and gain access to new clients.
The Accenture Federal Services (AFS) Small Business program builds collaborative long-term teaming relationships with small, veteran, and minority owned companies, to jointly deliver effective technology solutions to the Federal Government and help connect our small business partners with new opportunities.
Small businesses play a critical role in the performance of AFS contracts. In 2020, more than 20% of our government contracts were performed in conjunction with small business partners. Teaming helps small business fairly participate in government contracting opportunities which promotes values that we share, including economic equity, and greater opportunity for disadvantaged socio-economic groups.
Teaming can also help small business access more complex federal contracting opportunities, open doors to further business growth, establish new credentials and capabilities, and demonstrate value to government clients.
We encourage efficient and mutually beneficial partnership arrangements with our valued vendors and work with every category of small and minority-owned business partners, including the following, to help clients achieve mission delivery success:
- Small businesses
- Small, disadvantaged businesses
- Veteran-owned small businesses
- Service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses
- Women-owned small businesses
- HUBzone companies
- Historically black colleges and universities
- Alaska Native Corporations
- Certified 8(a) businesses
