About the role
We are seeking an Endpoint Security Engineer to design, configure, implement, and support enterprise endpoint security, DLP, and vulnerability management capabilities.
This role is a hands-on delivery position responsible for translating security requirements into reliable platform configurations, integration patterns, testable controls, and operationally supportable outcomes across endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and data protection tooling.
What you'll be responsible for
- Implement and configure endpoint security controls across enterprise endpoint platforms.
- Configure Trellix policies, endpoint protection capabilities, alerting behaviours, exclusions, deployment settings, and operational controls.
- Support DLP control implementation, including policy configuration, rule tuning, exception handling, and incident workflow integration.
- Configure and support Tenable vulnerability management capabilities, including scan policies, asset groups, credentialed scanning, reporting, and remediation tracking.
- Develop and maintain implementation artefacts, configuration records, technical work instructions, and operational runbooks.
- Troubleshoot endpoint security agent, policy, scan, and control deployment issues across enterprise environments.
- Support integration with adjacent platforms such as SIEM, ITSM, identity services, endpoint management platforms, and reporting tools.
- Contribute to testing, defect resolution, release readiness, and operational handover activities.
- Work with infrastructure, desktop, server, network, and security operations teams to resolve technical blockers.
- Support continuous improvement of endpoint security baselines, control effectiveness, and operational processes.
Qualifications
What we're looking for
- Approximately 6 to 8 years’ experience in endpoint security, security engineering, infrastructure security, systems engineering, or cyber operations roles.
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting endpoint protection, EDR, DLP, or vulnerability management platforms.
- Practical experience with Trellix and Tenable, or equivalent enterprise endpoint security and vulnerability management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoints, agents, policies, logs, scans, and platform integrations.
- Good understanding of security control design, operational support requirements, and enterprise change processes.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and work effectively within structured delivery teams.
- Scripting, automation, reporting, or API integration experience desirable.
Security Clearance
- Current Australian Government security clearance (Baseline, NV1 or higher), or
- Eligibility and willingness to undergo security clearance.
Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week
