Government Affairs Senior Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement government affairs strategies that advance business objectives in AI and the future of work, skilling, labor, immigration, and other workforce policies.
Monitor, analyze, and report key legislative and regulatory proceedings and developments to senior Accenture executives on issues that impact the company’s workforce and business as a result of skilling, labor, immigration, and other workforce policy changes.
Develop relationships with counterparts at other companies, think tanks, trade associations, policymakers and other relevant senior government officials.
Advocate on behalf of the company before policymakers, as well as other government officials, regulators, stakeholder organizations, trade associations, and think tanks.
Work collaboratively with our business and communications/marketing teams to identify and create impactful policy positioning opportunities at the intersection of government and business, with a focus on workforce issues.
Attend political action committee (PAC) events on behalf of Accenture when needed to support workforce policy objectives.
Assist in the integration of political outreach and engagement as part of corporate citizenship and community initiatives.
Work collaboratively across Legal and with other corporate functions to manage reputational and enterprise risks to the company as required.
Work with outside consultants to collect information, inform communications, and implement advocacy before policymakers, government officials, regulators, trade associations, other companies and think tanks.
Work collaboratively with global government affairs team to identify & create opportunities that advance shared priorities and objectives.

Role Requirements:
- Some travel required
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required
-
Minimum of 8 years total experience working in government, policy, or advocacy roles

Established Capitol Hill and Administration network
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Degree.

Experience in technology policy.

Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory organizations and processes.

Understanding of business model and corporate goals.

Ability to translate business goals into results through the development and execution of effective business development, policy, regulatory, and advocacy strategies.

Ability to lead and leverage internal staff, subject matter experts, and external consultants to advance strategies and objectives.

Strong public speaking and presentation skills, for both internal and external audience

Reputation for having the highest ethical standards and integrity.

Understanding of business offerings of operating groups and service lines as well as company’s clients.

Proven ability to organize, manage and deliver on metrics of major projects on a deadline and within a budget.

Proven ability to effectively handle multiple complex projects and issues on the legislative, procurement, legal and compliance fronts.

Proven ability to work with senior company executives, colleagues, outside regulatory officials and industry contacts.

Proven ability to lead and manage others to advance the objectives of the office and the company.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
