Summary:
As a Cloud Migration Engineer, a typical day involves evaluating current infrastructure and solutions to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments. This role includes planning and executing the migration of applications and data, ensuring that the solutions implemented are scalable and deliver high performance. The position requires coordinating with various stakeholders to align migration strategies with business goals, while continuously monitoring progress and addressing any challenges that arise during the migration process. The engineer plays a key role in enabling organizations to leverage both private and public cloud technologies to achieve advanced business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and execution of cloud migration strategies to ensure seamless transition and minimal disruption.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team to enhance overall migration capabilities.
- Monitor migration progress and implement corrective actions to address any issues promptly.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- Strong experience in managing database performance, backup, recovery, and security in cloud environments.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable database solutions tailored for cloud platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and optimize SQL queries for enhanced efficiency.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers and their database migration tools and best practices.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
