Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and investigating issues across various critical business systems. This role requires dynamic problem-solving to identify root causes and implement effective solutions, ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of essential applications. The position demands continuous collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and support business continuity in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to improve system reliability and operational efficiency through innovative approaches.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Coordinate incident response activities to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of system monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting to streamline operational tasks.
- Ability to design and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and container orchestration technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and complex environments.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
