Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Senior Project Manager, ANS
THE WORK:
- You'll provide executive leadership and overall management of all project phases including pre‑construction, procurement support, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- You'll oversee multiple design‑build and/or alternative delivery contracts, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
- You'll serve as the primary liaison with client executive leadership, project controls, legal, and third‑party stakeholders, including local jurisdictions and regulatory agencies.
- You'll lead contract administration activities including change management, claims avoidance and resolution, risk management, and compliance with contract requirements.
- You'll establish and enforce project governance, reporting structures, and performance metrics consistent with rail standards and FTA requirements.
- You'll direct multidisciplinary teams including construction management, design support, quality assurance, safety, environmental compliance, and stakeholder coordination.
- You'll coordinate closely with Cities within the project corridor to manage permitting, utility relocations, traffic control, and community impacts.
- You'll oversee implementation of project controls systems including cost management, scheduling, and risk tracking, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of issues.
- You'll lead executive‑level reporting, including preparation of briefings, Board reports, and stakeholder presentations.
- You'll foster a collaborative, solutions‑oriented environment to resolve issues at the lowest level and maintain project momentum.
- Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.

$250,000 - $325,000 a year
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 25 years of progressively responsible experience in the management and delivery of major rail and transit infrastructure projects of comparable size and complexity, preferably within Southern California
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required – California PE strongly preferred
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
- Prior experience on large scale transit projects, LA Metro Projects, or similar large urban transit systems.
- Familiarity with LA Metro policies, procedures, and project delivery frameworks
- Strong local knowledge of Los Angeles communities and stakeholder landscape
- Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining safety and quality excellence
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects using alternate delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build, CM/GC, P3), with strong understanding of associated risk allocation and contract structures.
- Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, means and methods, engineering coordination, and claims management, including dispute resolution strategies.
- Proven expertise in managing multiple concurrent construction contracts on large-scale transit programs.
- Strong understanding of owner versus contractor risks and responsibilities, particularly within alternative delivery environments.
- Direct experience working with local agencies and municipalities in the Greater Los Angeles area, including coordination with public works, utilities, and permitting authorities.
- Experience with the Federal Transit Administration New Starts program, including compliance, reporting, and funding requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver high-quality executive presentations, technical reports, and formal correspondence.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-profile program environment.
