The Public Service (PS) team is one of the industry programs within Accenture’s Global Network, under Accenture Strategy & Consulting. Our practitioners bring the right blend of strategic and operational expertise to help clients solve their most critical challenges and deliver maximum stakeholder value.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

As a Consultant in Workforce Development, you will play a critical role in driving client engagements and delivering measurable outcomes. Consultants are expected to own and lead significant workstreams, bringing in-depth subject matter expertise. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Project Delivery: Lead specific workstreams or modules across client engagements, including economic analysis, policy design, program structuring, and implementation planning. 

  • Client Engagement: Interact directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, validate hypotheses, and present insights; contribute to the development of actionable recommendations and policy interventions. 

  • Knowledge Building: Support the development of thought leadership, best practice frameworks, and proprietary methodologies in areas such as labor market strategy, skill development, and economic diversification. 

  • Capability Development: Strengthen expertise in economic modeling, workforce strategy design, and program implementation; stay abreast of global best practices and emerging trends in economic and human capital development. 

  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly across global, cross-functional teams, supporting senior consultants and managers in delivering measurable client impact and overseeing junior analysts’ contributions. 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline 

  • Master’s degree/ MBA is an advantage but not mandatory   

Experience Requirements 

  • 4–7 years of relevant experience, with a strong track record in the Workforce Development  

  • Strong understanding of global and national trends in economic development, workforce transformation, and labor market dynamics. 

  • Hands-on experience in designing or implementing economic growth, employment generation, or skill development programs is highly desirable. 

Industry /Functional Skills (Preferred – Workforce Development) 

  • Deep understanding of economic policy formulation, workforce planning, and job market interventions. 

  • Experience in conducting economic impact assessments, labor market studies, or skill gap analyses. 

  • Familiarity with public-private partnership models, regional development planning, and employment ecosystem design. 

  • Understanding of digital and green economy transformations, and their implications for workforce reskilling and inclusion. 

  • Ability to translate policy objectives into actionable strategies, supported by robust data analysis and stakeholder engagement. 

Key Competencies and Skills 

  • Advanced problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills. 

  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation capabilities. 

  • Effective stakeholder management across diverse and senior teams. 

  • Ability to lead Analysts and contribute to practice development.
