Role Summary
- Support the Global Trade Compliance Team by overseeing & co-ordinating responses to trade compliance inquiries, coordinating initial risk triage, providing standardized guidance and escalating queries to the Trade Compliance Regional Counsels as needed.
- Work with minimal supervision to develop and continuously improve process management, process improvements, team handling responsibilities and any other activity associate with the program.
- Work closely with Regional Trade Compliance Counsels and Trade Compliance Operational Leads to continuously understand, improve and implement Trade Compliance policies and procedures.
Generic Responsibilities
<>·Demonstrate promptness, accuracy and consistency with the activities supported;
- Recognize issues and act as escalation point locally/globally for the area of support;
- Accurately report key management information to various members of the Legal team;
- Identify and follow-up on potential red flags, communicate red flags to relevant stakeholders and team;
- Directly liaison with internal stakeholders on various legal and commercial issues;
- Understand the CORE areas and the surrounding issues and statutory regulations;
- Understand relevant company policies and its application to CORE support area;
- Identify and drive implementation of process improvements in CORE support area;
- Assist team in drafting checklists and process documents;
- Build credibility and effective relationships internally within Legal team;
- Develop and implement best practices in conjunction with internal stakeholder and GLN leadership;
- Collaborate effectively with onshore Leads to ensure utilization of GLN team in accordance with targets;
- Attend meetings and participate in audits;
- Closely work with LTO Team in addressing SharePoint or technical concerns;
- Support any specific Legal training initiative;
- Develop presentation or training material for team members on processes or regulatory requirements;
<>·Provide coaching and mentoring;
- Support implementation of initiatives in CORE support area or within GLN and encourages participation;
- Oversee all screening activities by managing workflows, delegating task, dividing workload and providing feedback and coaching on how to improve support;
- Generate team reports to easily identify and manage work demands versus team capacity;
- Set performance standards, evaluate work performance, and take action to recognize excellence and to correct deficiencies;
- Actively market and promote the GLN within Legal and the business units;
- Supervise resources (as required).
Specific Responsibilities aligned to Role
- Understand Trade Compliance Policies, Procedures and Guidelines to be able to coordinate L1/L2 advice to internal stakeholders;
- Responsible for the supervision and operation of the Trade Compliance Mailbox;
- Provide direct support to Trade Compliance Team in gathering data for reporting purposes and other administrative tasks;
- Identify gaps and escalate issues to Trade Compliance Team and provide ready solutions or suggestions with strategic approaches;
- Ensure compliance with international trade controls;
- Ensure timely implementation of AP1254 and its procedures;
- Organize trainings/knowledge sharing sessions on AP1254 in GLN, CORE and across Accenture;
- Understand obligations to comply with international trade controls in context of CORE support area;
- Understand activities that are subject to and presents potential risks under international trade controls;
<>·<>·<>·<>·Collaborate to achieve management metrics for the Trade Compliance Team.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills plus competent in delivering presentations;
<>·Understand general basic contractual principles required to draft, review, assist in negotiation for contractual arrangements;
- Understand basic negotiation skills;
- Efficient in conducting legal research;
- Understand company's interests while communicating with executives at all levels of the organization;
- Understand relevant company policies and exercises reasonable judgment to apply company policy and procedure in risk mitigation and timely escalates to line manager with issues;
- Understand company's approval processes and ensures that all stakeholders are timely engaged and informed on the relevant process;
- Strong time management, prioritization and analytical skills;
- Display high level of responsiveness and follows through on commitments;
- Detail-oriented, organized, flexible and always focused;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.

Qualifications
A law degree is required. Project Management experience in the Compliance field would be advantageous.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the field is required. Strong preference for candidates with Trade Compliance and/or Financial Sanctions experience.
