Senior Managing Director – US Southeast*
Jimmy Etheredge is senior managing director–US Southeast, responsible for Accenture’s business in 10 states, including the key markets of Washington, D.C., Charlotte and Atlanta. In this role, Jimmy focuses on bringing innovation to clients, attracting top talent and strengthening the company’s impact in its communities. He has been a member of the North America Leadership Team for nearly a decade and is a member of Accenture’s Global Leadership Council.
During his tenure as senior managing director‒US Southeast, Jimmy has focused on extending Accenture’s North America innovation hub network, where Accenture teams work side-by-side with clients to develop disruptive solutions that leverage advanced technologies. He created a new innovation hub in Atlanta on the Georgia Tech campus and expanded the company’s metro D.C. innovation hub. As a passionate advocate of inclusive innovation, Jimmy also brought Accenture’s national professional apprenticeship program to these two markets, creating new pathways for workers of all skill levels to adapt and thrive in the digital economy.
In recognition of his business success and commitment to the Atlanta community, Jimmy was recently named one of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Most Admired CEOs.
Over the course of his more than 30 years with Accenture Jimmy has served in global, industry and client leadership roles. Before assuming his current role in 2016, he led Accenture’s Products operating unit in North America, managing Accenture’s business across the retail, consumer goods, travel, manufacturing and life sciences industries.
Based in Atlanta, Jimmy is committed to community development and serves on several Atlanta-area boards, including the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Rotary Club.
A graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in industrial engineering, Jimmy serves as a trustee and on the Alexander Thorpe board of directors and has been inducted into the school’s Hill Society.
