Qualifications
As an Oracle Cloud Migration / Technology Architect, you will:
Architect client-specific solutions based on Oracle technology
Design and deliver Oracle Cloud solutions for public and private organisations
Develop credibility and relationships with client stakeholders
We are looking for candidates who excel in working in a client-facing environment with passion and proven delivery and architecture design skills. Candidates should be able to approach client challenges in an informed, structured and innovative way. Ideally, you have 10+ years of prior experience with Oracle applications, with a focus on either designing a solution based on Oracle Cloud (OCI) or migration into Oracle Cloud or migration of Oracle applications to Cloud.
Previous experience of working in a consultancy environment leading workstreams and managing discrete client engagement
Previous experience in migrating workloads to OCI and be able to provide specific examples of the migration lifecycle and role played in those activities.
Ability to perform technology architecture design based on client requirements with specific experience in OCI migrations.
Experience with migrating Oracle Database Workloads to at least one of the following OCI Database Offerings – Base Database Service, IaaS, Exadata Cloud Service and Exadata Cloud at Customer
Experience with migrating to Exadata-based systems.
Must have a thorough understanding of the OCI Landing Zone and its core components.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Multiple lifecycle implementations of Oracle products or migration of Oracle applications into cloud, including the following phases: business case, requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, Cloud architecture, design documentation, and deployment.
Set yourself apart:
Confidence in presenting challenging points of view to client audiences
Experience in presenting technical solutions to client audiences (both technical and non-technical)
Experience structuring activities that play to a team's strengths and provide opportunities for others to grow
Workstream team lead experience - leading, mentoring and developing our people.
One or more relevant Oracle Cloud Certifications
Exposure in one of the following areas: technology architecture design, migration into cloud, cloud integration
Design Thinking concepts – able to brainstorm, problem-solve and present ideas using a variety of design thinking methods available
