This role sits within UKI Technology - Automation and Process Deployment (A&PD). The A&PD vision is to seed innovation, optimization and automation enabling the highest possible Technology Delivery quality and productivity at the lowest possible cost.  We are focused on designing optimised client and market-relevant solutions, mobilising projects from day one to enable successful service delivery. Additionally, providing high quality standardised PMO capabilities and services to Accenture and Client programmes.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Day-to-day oversight of a range of project control processes, including resource management, planning, issue and risk management, scope/change control, process automation and quality management including the application of outputs from these processes to improve project and programme performance
  • Plan creation, management and control using a standard Project Management Tools (e.g. MS Project). This involves setting up plans, tracking progress, reporting metrics variances
  • Liaison with Commercial and Financial Management teams to ensure that programme and corporate finances are aligned and that the Programme is delivering to target
  • Leading teams, providing evaluations of direct reports’ performance
  • Identification and selection of appropriate tools for Management information analysis
  • Experience of PMO and Project Management tooling and standard industry solutions
  • Contribute to internal capability development to including method & asset development
  • Interaction with senior management within client and Accenture contexts, demonstrating the ability to adapt solutions and approaches to changing circumstances.
  • Making decisions that may have a day-to-day impact on area of specific responsibility

Key requirements:

  • Experience in managing PMO activities in medium to large scale complexity delivery projects and programmes. experience of managing remote teams essential
  • Experience in project management spanning multiple projects/ engagements
  • Excellent communication skills – including verbal, written and presenting to a group
  • Commercial awareness with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive/ can do style of work  

Additional skills beneficial to the role:

  • Experience in managing the performance of PMO teams
  • Experience of working in client consulting environments
  • Experience of analysing management information using appropriate tooling e.g. Tableau, Splunk, Qlik, Power BI Office 365 suite including advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Microsoft Project / Server
  • PPM Tools such as Clarity, Planview
  • Experience of collaboration tools e.g. MS Teams, SharePoint and Confluence/ JIRA  
  • Certification or experience in P30 or Agile Methodologies 
  • Experience of mobilising systems implementation and/or outsourcing project
