Job Description

In order to support our continued growth, we’re hiring passionate consultants with experience of working in agile delivery teams, to work on a variety of complex and challenging delivery programmes within REPL focused on retail technology. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that enjoys being involved in hands-on project delivery and actively promotes working in an agile environment. You’ll be part of our delivery teams, defining and setting agile delivery standards across our retail client projects.

Prospective Delivery Consultants must be able to demonstrate experience and understanding across the programme lifecycle and ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously. Ideal candidates will be able to show an adaptability to each scenario and a willingness to embrace different strategies and cultures across our clients and at REPL. We expect our candidates to show understanding in the three key areas of our business: Retail; Technology; and Consulting

Key Tasks

  • Defining and setting agile delivery standards and applying best practice across REPLs delivery portfolio
  • Demonstrating  and implementing best practice agile methodologies/delivery approaches on the projects you’re working on
  • Working in roles across the programme lifecycle to ensure technology projects are delivered to the goals and objectives of REPL and our clients
  • Working with teams from clients, REPL and 3rd parties to deliver successful business outcomes
  • Building long-lasting strong relationships across all key stakeholders and clients
  • Promoting an agile mindset across departmental boundaries and throughout our customers organisations
  • Example roles would be:
    • Scrum Master for an REPL, an alliance partner or a consortium team.
    • Agile Delivery Lead looking after multiple teams and ensuring adherence to the Agile principles on that programme or project.
    • Release Train Engineer to facilitate program level processes and execution
    • Proxy product ownership on behalf of a customers when delivering in an Agile environment.


Qualifications

Obligatory Skills and Experience

  • Agile certification (i.e. Scrum Master, SAFe etc)
  • Experience of leading Agile delivery.
  • Experience of delivering complex technology projects.
  • The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • The ability to work and lead across different teams, for example in a multi-vendor consortium model where REPL would not be only the consultancy or delivery partner to a client.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, coaching and facilitation skills.
  • The ability and desire to work independently and autonomously when delivering for customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to analyse functional and technical problems and then clearly communicate solutions both orally and in writing.
  • Experience of consulting or professional service projects/delivery

You will also have some experience of, or a desire to learn about the following:

  • Experience with a top 10 Consulting/Systems Integration firm
  • Experience across the core retail functional areas; supply chain, store & head office operations, and workforce management.
  • From a design, development or test background

Practical experience of leading large scale system integration in a retail environment involving the following:

  • Strategy
  • Target Operating Model Definition
  • Governance setup
  • Program Management
  • Software Project Management
  • Solution & Technical Architecture
  • Infrastructure Delivery
  • Central system and site based Deployment
