Role: Cyber Threat Intelligence Research and Development Lead
Salary: up to £85,000 + Benefits
Join Accenture Security iDefense and you will become crucial towards helping us grow and succeed. The iDefense R&D lead will spearhead our efforts to build new collection, analysis, and research platforms. Developments become immediately relevant towards producing timely intelligence for both our internal analytical teams and our clients. The R&D team is responsible for taking iDefense expertise and crystallizing it into data-driven workflows that are efficient, innovative, and encourage collaboration. There is endless potential for growth both in bringing new ideas to life and improving on existing solutions and capabilities.
What responsibilities will you have?
The role includes directing the inception, design, development and deployment of new and existing intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination capabilities. This includes mapping analyst requirements, analysing datasets and raw sources, crafting collection capabilities, managing developers, developing analytical modules, generating outputs and user interfaces, and overseeing infrastructure growth to support it all.
The role includes extensive opportunities to interact with senior internal stakeholders, clients, other analysts and researchers, along with a host of technical staff to collaborate with. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing software for intelligence lifecycle or a cyber security ecosystem. They will have experience in leading projects, personnel management and strong communication skills.
Required technical skills and experience:
- Extensive, proven professional software development experience
- Demonstrable experience in leading a software development team or comparable role
- Demonstrable experience in cyber security, intelligence or information security, in any sector or industry
- Demonstrable knowledge and project experience in a data-driven environment
Bonus technical skills/experience:
- Experience with Docker or comparable virtualisation/containerization solutions
- Experience with Elasticsearch and NoSQL platforms
- Experience working in frontend software development (HTML/CSS/others)
- Experience working in cloud-based environments
What academic qualifications do you need?
• A BSc in Computer Science or equivalent is an advantage, but not required if demonstrably equivalent experience is available/
• Certifications in information security are an advantage.
