Role Description
 
We’re currently looking to grow our Senior Management team within our UKI DevOps practice. As a pivotal member of the team, we are looking for experienced DevOps professionals who will be responsible for leading the DevOps team and thought leadership for Accenture UKI. The successful candidate will be well rounded with high proficiencies in Technology Architecture, DevOps Concepts, business development, and Delivery Excellence.
 
We are currently actively engaging with experienced Architects/ Technical Leads who specialise in DevOps and who can shape, win, and deliver large deals which require great DevOps expertise. This includes both highly technical system delivery initiatives as well as business-oriented consulting initiatives. We are looking for individuals who can describe the rationale and business value proposition of introducing DevOps capabilities and then take the lead in designing and delivering those capabilities by changing technology, process, and people.
 
What we’re looking for:
  • Professional experience being directly accountable for a successful and high performing DevOps delivery team
  • Ability to create effort and cost estimates for small delivery teams across technologies (not just DevOps).
  • Ability to create client-facing value propositions for DevOps including the business case and win themes.
  • Ability to drive completion of modern engineering strategy initiatives, including maturity assessment, roadmap creation, future blueprint, and business case.
  • Ability to coordinate large modern engineering transformation programmes which include combinations of technology introduction, training, coaching, and governance management.
  • Highly independent leader who can be self-sufficient on the ground at a client.
  • Ability to drive completion of DevOps strategy initiatives, including maturity assessment, roadmap creation, future blueprint.
 As part of this role, successful candidates must have clear experience in drawing up complete DevOps architecture based on reference model and demonstrate compliance with non-functional considerations such as security availability and performance. Finally, the successful candidate will be an active advocate for DevOps, working as a thought leader within the industry.

What academic qualifications do you need?
  • Undergraduate University degree (2:1) or equivalent: Technical/ Engineering/ Computer science background is an advantage.
  • Industry recognized certification in Agile is an advantage
