Accenture’s experts concentrate on helping the Chief Data Officer, Chief Digital Officer, Chief Distribution Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, and their teams, to face these challenges. These experts form our Customer Insight & Growth (CI&G) team.   

 

Customer Insight & Growth

Our purpose is to help Financial Services firms deliver compelling and innovative customer experiences that delight and serve their customers better. One of the ways that we do this is by leveraging data to help firms gain insight from the data they capture and use that insight to drive business decisions and enable growth.

 

The CI&G practice sits within our Financial Services Consulting Business, spanning Banking, Insurance and Wealth Management. In CI&G we help client define, plan and deliver changes that impact end customers and the front-office which includes:

·      Moving organisations to be more customer centric, helping them shape their business and operating models

·      Creating compelling customer propositions

·      Transforming customer journeys and personalising interactions to create meaningful and consistent experiences

·      Utilising the power of customer data to help organisations maximise value from their interactions

·      Blending physical and digital engagement models to give customers a compelling service model

·      Resetting the organisation to get front-office staff focused on supporting customers in an increasingly digital world

·      Re-inventing the customer ‘ecosystem’ as products / services spread across organisations


Role Description

 

It’s important to understand what you might be doing on a day to day basis, and how this might differ from your current position, to make sure Accenture is the right place for you. Most Consultants and Managers spend most of their time working on client sites, delivering a project, with the expectation of extra-curricular responsibilities and practice building on the side.

 

You will be working on a wide range of projects, utilising tools and techniques to help our clients rotate to the new. This role is not purely analytical and will require creative thinking, excellent client communication skills and the ability to identify new innovative ways to apply our skills and services to solve a wider set of client problems.

 

To succeed in a digital business - data and analytics must be at the root of all key decisions. Business intelligence can be a leading source of competitive advantage and organisations have an opportunity to use analytics to drive digital transformation and redefine the customer experience.

 

To accomplish this, Customer data and analytics leaders must be comfortable creating and / or operating in a data-driven culture focused on delivering business outcomes. Practitioners may be responsible for defining e.g. use cases, interpreting data to produce meaningful insights for decision making, navigating a client’s data architecture, determining solutions and reporting complex data in a simplified way to stakeholders.

 

Additionally, they are often required to help recognise and communicate data lineage / lifecycle insights and downstream business impacts or identify gaps in data governance and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities. Finally, they will be expected to be comfortable with leveraging data to help shape, define and deliver descriptive / predictive analytics solutions and capabilities.

 


Required Skills

We want you to be driven to develop yourself and others, as well as having a ‘big picture’ understanding of the Financial Services Industry. 

As well as the above, you should have expertise in one or more the following areas:  

  • ‘Multi-channel’ and/or digital development covering front and back office, Branch, Telephony, Online, Tablets and/or Mobile services 
  • Functional expertise on core banking and insurance distribution processes, for example: customer onboarding; account opening; generating leads 
  • Well-developed analytical skills and ability to provide clarity to complex issues and synthesise large amounts of information, applying an algorithmic or mechanical process to derive insights. For example, running through several data sets to look for meaningful correlations and draw the right conclusions
  • Be familiar with using the information to help senior and executive-level clients to make informed decisions
  • Familiarity with data mapping and possess robust problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the major vendor landscape for Data, legacy systems and knowledge of cloud and on-premise based solutions
  • Ability to operate at all stages of a project/programme lifecycle, from proposal through to full programme delivery and experience managing risks
  • Experience working with Agile methodology, familiarity with Scrum as well as more classic ‘Waterfall’ delivery approaches
  • Banking, Insurance or Wealth Management
