As part of the Operations outsourcing business, Accenture transitions services from incumbent vendors or client’s in-house team, often incorporating a significant amount of change – system, process and retained organization. The transition of the people and services are a crucial function managed by the BPS Mobilisation team. The Change Management Senior Manager is responsible for designing and directing change management / people change activities as a component of projects during sales, solution and service transition activities. The change journey will be jointly implemented by the client and Accenture by providing change management expertise from strategy, to design, planning and execution of change programmes required for outsourcing initiatives
 
Define and implement change management processes, organisational and operating infrastructures focused on enabling the set-up of new outsourcing engagements. With responsibility for cross-industry significant, complex programmes and across multiple work streams with accountability for the success, effectiveness, and on time delivery of all the applicable deliverables. Ideally you will have a strong understanding of shared services and business process outsourcing with proven project execution experience working with clients on major change programmes and projects.
 
What responsibilities will you have?
 
  • Create strategic client partnerships and develop an empowering partnership culture to ensure long-term relationship acting as the bridge with both the client and Accenture delivery teams to achieve successful business outcomes
  • Demonstrate proactive leadership of change, crafting the narrative for change with clients and co-creation of a shared vision, goals and objectives, linking with strategy and definition of the future state
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the principles of Change Management with the ability to articulate an approach to clients in addition to addressing business challenges including overcoming resistance, empowering change activists / champions and inspire action
  • Utilise proven Change Management methodologies, processes and tools to co-design, initiate and execute change in addition to sharing your understanding of the different types of change, change models & the association with Project Management, Waterfall, Agile, CI, etc.
  • Design, develop and implement the change vision and strategy, stakeholder mapping, communications & engagement linking in with the new operating model & client user adoption
  • Develop insights and set the direction for defining components of change along with maintaining a single view of change initiatives and interventions across each client engagement as well as a detailed action plan that supports and aligns with the Transition Plan
  • Implement and improve Change Management best practice tools, methods and techniques (both standard and digital approaches) for delivering the change plan
  • Design and development of a strategic communications approach, planning and coordinating with the Global Communications Team plus other groups including HR in addition to interfacing with the delivery team to ensure the effectiveness of communication
  • Work closely with HR and the Mobilisation people team regarding people transfers, ARD / TUPE, workers councils, union consultations, rebadging, employment terms and conditions
  • Knowledge of HCM strategies, competencies & capability frameworks, talent management, recruitment, learning & development, performance management, rewards & recognition
  • Experience of training – design and development of training strategy and plans, development of materials, knowledge of the specific transition training needs e.g. knowledge transfer, application of different training approaches including Train the Trainer
  • Measure and monitor change – undertake questionnaires, surveys, focus groups, gather contextual stories, implement adjustment activities to take advantage of opportunities
  • Work collaboratively within a small team whilst being able to network and forge relationships with other Accenture businesses and teams
  • Be a go-to expert for Change Management across Mobilisation and provide guidance. Support learning from one another - continually share change expertise, insights and latest trends
  • Champion Change Management, elevating its credibility and be an advocate to enhance both Accenture’s and Mobilisation’s organisational change capability ensuring adoption of professional change management practices for organisational change and transformation
  • Represent Mobilisation and Change Management to clients, on projects, at steering committees and throughout Accenture
  • Willingness to travel regionally or globally depending on client location to develop relationships and create a partnership approach
What skills & experience are we looking for?
 
Ideally you will bring significant in depth understanding and experience of Operations and Outsourcing including off-shoring, near shoring, reverse transitions, etc. In addition, you will understand the factors influencing and shaping the future of the industry. It is vital to have a proven track record of shaping change management for high profile and profitable client engagements which have created value for clients with extensive experience in delivering organisational effectiveness and of working on people and culture initiatives.
 
  • Brilliant and bright thinking about Change Management, we expect you to be bold and go beyond conventional approaches and techniques
  • Bring new and creative thinking around solutions to challenges and a uniquely human touch to client engagements e.g. design thinking, shift mindsets
  • Experience in Operations, Outsourcing, HR, Technology and cross-industry sectors - knowledge of Operations services transition management and working with off-shore delivery and support teams within a Service Management environment
  • Broad understanding about change impacts to organisations, business divisions and functions within the context of Operations, Mobilisation and Transition projects
  • Strong experience in organizational Change Management for large, complex, multi-geography initiatives possibly with a consultancy or internal consultancy within a large, global corporate
  • Experience of undertaking Change Management leadership for a complex, change portfolio and influencing and negotiating with stakeholders
  • Fully versed at design and delivery of workshops, explore creative ways for leadership development, required behaviours and organisational learning
  • It will be immensely helpful to understand organizational structure and design in addition to being able to undertake organisational assessments and diagnostics
  • Knowledgeable about behavioural change and aware of the latest thinking in behavioural science and culture optimisation - to embrace new attitudes, adopt new behaviours & values
  • Qualified coach or ability to utilise your coaching experience to support Accenture teams and clients achieving business outcomes and sustainability
  • Strong client stakeholder management and client facing experience
  • Proficient with technology systems, tools and apps to be able to apply to new ways of working and creatively support our teams and clients
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands effectively
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate analysis into recommendations
  • Highly skilled at utilising Office 365 including OneNote, Skype, Microsoft Teams
 
What academic qualifications do you need?
 
  • Change Management ACMP / CCMP, Prosci CMC, ACP, ADKAR
  • Project Management PMP, PRINCE2
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
  • Degree in Organisational Change and Development, Organisational Design
  • Degree in an associated area such as Sociology, Psychology, Behavioural Science,
  • Certified Coach
