  • Design and develop proof of concepts, working prototypes and small pilots

The role of the senior interaction designer at Liquid Studio London is to be an evangelist for user-centered design methods, tools and processes and solve complex problems while balancing business requirements with users’ needs. As a senior interaction designer, you’ll be joining our small design team and be responsible for creating and communicating concepts and ideas using different methods, tools and formats to bring to life the customer’s experience journey. You’ll be expected to initiate co-creation sessions in the studio and encourage innovative approaches to solving design challenges across the range of products and services we develop.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Be a storyteller with solid written and verbal communication skills who enjoy making brilliant presentations that inform, inspire and influence
  • Scope, manage and run UX activities from across all stages of the design process, meeting deadlines and be accountable for design artefacts and delivery QA
  • Work collaboratively to design relevant user-experiences, from low fidelity hand-drawn sketches and illustrations to high fidelity digital interfaces and working prototypes
  • Help conduct research of emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends
Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, design principles and design thinking
  • Proficiency in sketching, graphic design and motion graphics with a sensitivity to typography, copywriting and color
  • Skills in rapid prototyping
  • Knowledge of CSS and HTML
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and how to adhere to them
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams from the initial concept phase to product build and release, including deep understanding of agile and lean delivery methodologies
Other important requirements:
  • Have a strong work ethic and a passion for making things, team work and innovation
  • Be self-managed, open minded, highly motivated and detailed oriented
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6-year hands-on experience in UX across research, strategy and design
  • Show interest in team management to mentor, coach and develop more junior team members
  • Be curious, embrace new technologies and have a start-up mindset
