Salary :  £34,000 - £45,000 plus excellent benefits

As a member of the team responsible for managing Information Security risk for Accenture and reporting on security risk across the organization, the IS Dynamic Risk Management Specialist will:
  • Drive development of the Dynamic Risk Management Program used to assess and report on Accenture’s security posture against the changing threat landscape to Accenture leadership.
  • Perform analysis of information security threats in order to identify current and potential controls across people, process, and technology.
  • Develop approaches to analyze and measure control effectiveness in mitigating identified threats on an ongoing basis. 
  • Coordinate and track risk treatment plans defined to increase control effectiveness or implement new controls.
 
What responsibilities will you have?
 
Degree of difficulty of an assignment or the level of problem-solving assessment and resolution required, as indicated by degree of problem-solving, strategic vs. routine focus, and stakeholder interactions (e.g., Executives, Supervisor, etc.)
 
Complexity
  • Requires analysis and solving of moderately complex problems. Typically creates new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures.
  • Requires understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor or team leads.  Generally interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.

Authority

  • Power to influence or complete assignments independently and ability to make decisions, as indicated by latitude to devise work products or plans, reliance on instruction and decision-making ability
  • Requires minimal guidance when determining methods and procedures on new assignments.

  • Risk or consequences in the event of failure, as indicated by range of expected impact, such as within a team or across a team or area of responsibility and level of risk
  • Decisions often impact the team in which they reside and occasionally impact other teams
Scope
  • Degree of accountability for assigned tasks, our clients and/or the organization, as indicated by size of work effort and scale of entity and/or program
  • Manages medium-small sized teams and/or work efforts at a client or within Accenture
 
 
What Skills and Experiences are we Looking for ?
  • Understanding of information security controls across people, process, and technology that can be used to mitigate threats.
  • An inquisitive approach to assessing information security controls in order to identify issues proactively.
  • Maintain a good familiarity with global policies and standards.
  • Ability to research a subject and establish an expert network of support contacts within and outside of Accenture.
  • Executive report-writing/PowerPoint and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Any experience with ISO27001, SANS Top 20, and the NIST Cyber Security Framework would be beneficial.
  • Any formal information security qualifications such as GISF, CISSP and ISO27001 Lead Auditor would also be beneficial, but not essential.
