Remediation Analyst


Start Date- May 2018

End Date- 31/12/2018 initially

Salary- £23,000 per annum

Location- Newcastle Upon Tyne


Job Purpose:


Responsible for completing remediation analysis for new clients and the renewals of existing client relationships, compliant with an external clients’ standards, policies and procedures and FCA regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the information gathered and populating the remediation profile.
  • Identify data and documentation gaps.
  • Validating the clients’ platform profile and raising any points of concern.
  • Ensure all required FCA regulatory requirements for new and existing clients are fulfilled.
  • Respond to feedback provided and re-work cases as required, based on feedback from QC.
  • Escalate to the Remediation Team Lead issues that may require Compliance and other relevant parties
  • Monitor and track outstanding cases to make sure cases are completed within set SLAs (service level agreements) escalating where appropriate.
  • Follow an external clients’ standard policies, procedures and tools.
  • Adhere to agreed targets, KPIs, SLAs and confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in training programmes to develop financial services industry knowledge

Key Skills:

  • Autonomy in collation of data, file review presentation and risk recommendation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Planning, organisational and analytical skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise your own work
  • Process improvement and efficiency
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven, team based environment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, use of research applications
  • Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written)


In addition, the following skills will be a significant advantage:

  • KYC experience in a commercial client environment
  • Experience of application of KYC requirements, and Global KYC regulation and directives.
  • Knowledge of financial services and financial terminology
  • Knowledge of customer entity types
