A new area within Accenture Digital is Industry X.0, Accenture’s approach to the Digital Re-Invention of the Industry. In your role within our Industry X.0 team, you’ll help clients take advantage of significant market opportunities as digital technology moves into the core of industry in product development and manufacturing environments.  You’ll help them transform their product, manufacturing and product related services value chains in Automotive, Retail, Consumer Goods, Industrial & Medical Equipment,  Life Sciences, Communications, High Tech, Chemicals, Mining, Oil & Gas and Utilities.   As part of Accenture Digital, you’ll benefit from tailored career management and specialist skills that will fuel your ambitions in the Industry X.0 space.


The Digital Manufacturing Lead will be responsible for driving new sales opportunities and participating in the delivery of programmes, in Accenture’s Manufacturing & Production capability within the Consumer Goods/Life Sciences/Aerospace industry in the UK.


This is expected to be achieved through a combination of extensive industry experience operating at C-suite/senior executive levels and experience in the shaping and/or delivering of transformation programmes in the industry area. This is a high visibility position, working directly with senior individuals within Accenture and our Clients. The ability to communicate well both orally and in writing as well as work independently is critical.


What responsibilities will you have?

  • Lead the execution of the Go to Market Strategy for acquiring new business in these sectors.
  • Participate in the sales process end to end working with the IX GTM team, including: prospect identification, opportunity qualification, collaborating with other Accenture teams to determine appropriate proposed solution for the client, driving prospect interaction and follow-up, and supporting the new client acquisition closing.
  • Ensure all services within the portfolio for Consumer Goods/Life Sciences/Aerospace are represented with a clearly articulated value case to prospects and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with the rest of Accenture to ensure that services solutions offered are aligned to the client's goals and agenda.
  • Play a key role in enhancing the business capabilities of Accenture’s digital solutions for manufacturing and production in the portfolio for Consumer Goods/Life Sciences/Aerospace.


What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree and/or an advanced degree
  •  Extensive senior client relationship management experience
  • Extensive industry domain experience in Consumer Goods/Life Sciences/Aerospace
  • Extensive business development experience
  • Experience in transformation programmes within manufacturing and production in Consumer Goods/Life Sciences/Aerospace
  •  Flexibility and mobility to travel as part of the role
  • The Digital Manufacturing Lead is expected to combine industry domain experience with an understanding and application of traditional manufacturing & production systems (e.g. MES, MOM, SCADA/DCS) with an ability to articulate the value of digital transformation in the respective industry area.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of how digital transformation can extend traditional manufacturing & production systems.
  • Provide domain expertise to drive solution development, and then the usage of these solutions in shaping/selling new opportunities to clients, as well as representation at industry-relevant forums/conferences.

 This position may be subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history at the point of application
