The iDefense Business Development Lead is a critical member of the iDefense Leadership team whose primary responsibilities are focused on identifying net new business opportunities across Accenture’s existing customer base, spearheading the Accenture sales process to acquire and grow the iDefense customer portfolio, and facilitating collaboration across all industries with Accenture’s Operating Group leaders, Client Account Leads, Account Executives and other Sales Directors to drive awareness of the iDefense suite of services.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience driving the new client acquisition (sales) process end to end and driving sales channel development initiatives.

This is a high visibility position, working directly with senior individuals within Accenture and our Clients. The ability to communicate well both orally and in writing as well as work independently is critical.

About the Role

Supports execution of the Go to Market Strategy for acquiring new business.

Facilitates the sales process end to end, including: prospect identification, opportunity qualification, collaborating with the Product Management team to determine appropriate proposed solution for the client, driving prospect interaction and follow-up, and supporting the new client acquisition closing.

Ensures all services within the iDefense Threat Intelligence Services portfolio are represented with a clear articulated value to prospects and existing customers.

Collaborates with important client engagements and ensure that services solutions offered are aligned to the client's goals and agenda.

Plays a key role in enhancing the business capabilities of iDefense Threat Intelligence Services by generating ideas and opportunities for growth in the platform.

Uses own judgment to find optimal solutions to recommend.

Interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.

Figures out methods and procedures on new assignments with minimal guidance.

Manages medium-small sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

Skill Requirements / Qualifications:

  • ·         Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree and/or an advanced degree in Engineering
  • ·         Extensive client relationship management experience
  • ·         Extensive experience using MS Office Suite
  • ·         Selling/business development experience, including channel sales or channel management, and a consistent track record
  • ·         Product engineering sales/presales experience 
  • ·         Extensive industry domain experience.
