Job Description

As a Finance Consulting Manager, you will support clients by:

·        Shaping their Finance Vision and Strategy

·        Defining the Operating Model and Organisation Structure to enable Finance to improve its efficiency whilst better supporting its customers through the provision of insight and analytics

·        Realising the opportunities of ‘Big Data’ next generation Finance Technology,

 

A Digital Finance Manager:

  • Assesses the client’s Finance challenges and strategic opportunities
  • Recommends new approaches to delivering Finance support to the business:
    • Designs agile Finance operating models, including the use of shared services
    • Re-imagines core Finance activities and process to realise the opportunities of new technologies, including Robotic Process Automation
    • Maximises the return on investment on core ERP technologies (e.g. SAP / Oracle) and portfolio applications

o   Develops comprehensive service management capabilities

o   Shapes the Finance organisation and culture to be more dynamic and forward-looking

·        Develops and maintains relationships with C-level clients

  • Manages engagement risk, project economics including planning and budgeting, manage account receivables, define deliverable content, ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client.

·   Manages small to medium sized teams of diverse backgrounds, skill sets and technical/functional knowledge. Encourages creative and innovative thinking from team members while helping them to bring their ideas and career plans to fruition.

·    Contributes to Thought Leadership and leverages the skills of other Strategists throughout the practice (Business Strategy, M&A, Technology Strategy and others) to enable cohesive delivery of strategic solutions.

·    Maintains an understanding of advancements in technology and innovations which are happening across digital, analytics, the CFO ecosystem and broader marketplace. Also be the business architect bringing together parts and expertise of Accenture to have more informed conversation with the client

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong Finance background
  • Experienced in transforming Finance services through process, structure or technology change
  • Familiarity with Finance enabling technologies and data structures
  • Ability to effectively engage with senior-level client executives
  • Proven track record in driving business outcomes
  • Ability to extract insight from financial and business data
  • Ability to effectively mentor, advise, and coach subordinates

·        Prior project delivery experience in a consulting or industry context

 

Preferred Qualifications

·        MBA

·        CIMA

 

Professional Skill Requirements

·        Proven ability to work curiously, using analytically mindset to solve problems

·        Desire to work at the intersection of finance and business

·        Experience in one or more of the following industries; Energy (Upstream, Downstream or Trading); Resources (Mining; Energy; Water) or Industrial

·        Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and in presentation

·        Good understanding of finance data, functional and tool architecture

·        ERP technology understanding (SAP / Oracle) and other Finance technologies (Cognos, Hyperion, OBIEE, Tableau, Fusion, etc.) is a plus
