Salary: £73,000 - £90,000 + Benefits

Your role
There will never be a typical day at Accenture Analytics, but that’s why people love it here. Here are just a few of your day-to-day responsibilities you will need to have both a deep understanding of the business problems faced by our clients, as well as an expert grounding in the analytical techniques that will be used to address them. 
Typically, your role would involve:

  • Work with public sector client teams to diagnose problem areas and contributing to architecting the solution.
  • Devise solutions to client business problems that take advantage of data driven analytical techniques.
  • Support the delivery of client work with analytical modelling and the development of new client opportunities
  • Develop and interpret statistical models
  • Communicate Analytics models and results to non technical audiences, in both verbal and written formats.
  • Lead, mentor and coach of co-workers and client teams
  • Support and consult on complex financial analyses and support the develop business cases in conjunction with industry and/or opportunity analyses

Basic Qualifications
  • Proven experience of practical predictive analytics execution experience
  • Background in advanced analytics
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD, Masters or Bachelor’s Degree (depending on career level) in quantitative field (Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Computer Science with emphasis in Statistics
  • Proven experience in advanced statistics software (e.g. SAS, R, Python, SPSS) 
  • Proven experience leading advanced modeling techniques with the application of statistics/econometrics or other modeling techniques to business problems
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks,  NoSQL, Cassandra, Pig etc
  • Proficient in visualisation analytics technologies like Tableau, Qlikview.
  • Consulting experience with evidence of significant client impact and value creation
  • Issue-based problem solving
  • Familiarity with the application of predictive analytics, cognitive computing and forecasting, for example, to real world problems 
  • Structured communications to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and prioritised based on the requirements of the business.
  • Ideally, you'll have experience in crime analysis or intelligence, but this is not mandatory.
