Location: London - UK (Flexible)

Travel: 70%

Salary: Upto £36,000 + excellent benefits

What responsibilities will you have?

 

The Automation developer is expected to take ownership of the full automation application development and deliver the expected solution. The applicant will show analytical skills, knowledge of solid programming principles and broad knowledge of technologies and programming languages. The developer is expected to be able to design the application and functionalities based on the business description or technical designs.
 
  • Analyse business problems, develop technology solutions to these problems and manage the project through its life cycle
  • Provide primary support for assigned systems and applications; provide backup support for other systems as needed.
  • Build simple utilities or modules utilizing data from databases, parsing data from flat files, emailing or automating MS Office applications
  • Work independently with limited support
  • Supervise all application development phases, including testing and documentation
What skills & experience are we looking for?
  • Project experience with automation technologies (Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, AHK, UIPath, OpenSpan…)
  • Proven experience - at least 2 years (programmer/analyst/IT support position) with any programming language (preferable in .NET (C#, VB, …) / VBA / SQL)
  • Knowledge of VBA or MS Office (Access, Outlook, Excel) macros programming and good user knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure (client-server application and related network infrastructure, usage o virtualization technologies) is very welcome
  • Quick learner, looking for new challenges
  • University degree (Bachelor) in information technologies or IT/programming oriented secondary school or relevant experience with IT (SW/HW) background

Travel

 

You must be willing to significantly travel as the role will supporting projects across Europe –typically ~70% (Mon-Thu type) unless staffed on local projects
