The Role
Accenture is looking to further strengthen its Finance and Risk practice as we are continuing to see high demand from our clients in an evolving industry landscape. Core to this is the area of Finance & Accounting where we are looking for people who have a natural interest and experience in FS Finance & Risk Transformation and the impacts it may have on our client’s business, processes and systems. 
What we are looking for
We are looking for candidates that excel in working in a client facing environment and who are able to approach Finance & Accounting complexities in an informed, structured and innovative way. 
Within Finance & Accounting we are looking for Consultant and Manager level professionals to join our Finance & Risk team where we have opportunities for rapid career progression.

Candidates for the role must be able to demonstrate an understanding in one or more of the following key areas within Finance and Accounting:

Enterprise Reporting:  good understanding of the end to end Enterprise Financial Reporting process, core knowledge of finance management systems and technical environments, full project lifecycle experience in delivery of finance transformation and change programmes in the following areas:
  • General Ledger and ERP Strategy
  • General Ledger Standardisation
  • Chart of Accounts Redesign
  • General Ledger and Sub Ledger Architecture
  • Integration of Finance, Risk and Treasury Reporting
  • Record to Report Process
  • Fast-Close Process Design and Implementation.
Operational Excellence candidates will have the responsibility for leading and driving projects and programmes to deliver transformation change (and specifically reducing variability, removing inflexibility and removing waste) across end-to-end finance business processes, to deliver improved customer experience, productivity and efficiency, staff engagement and risk control.
Ideal experience
  • Deep understanding and experience of Operational Excellence levers and the practical application of process excellence (Lean), organisation efficiency, service and footprint models
  • Proven track record of large scale, multi-year and complex programme deliveries in Financial Services
  • Track record of communicating and influencing at a senior management level
  • An expert understanding of Financial Services
  • Qualified accountant or qualifies by experience preferred
  • Good understanding of Finance, Operations and Risk functions
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented consensus builder with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead project working groups and possesses strong facilitation and data gathering skills.
Relationship Management & Sales
Team members are responsible for building new propositions and also for identifying future opportunities for the Accenture Finance & Risk Services team.

Accenture Finance & Risk Services help Financial Services firms focus on three of their key challenges - increasing profitability, reducing complexity and managing regulations. Accenture draws on its end-to-end transformation capabilities as well as core strengths in management consulting, technology, analytics and outsourcing to help firms address complex Risk Management, Fraud and Financial Crime and Finance change related issues.
We primarily work with leading Investment, Corporate and Retail Banks and Insurers.
