Discover how a Summer HR Internship at Accenture can help you maximise your potential with stimulating work, inspirational colleagues and leaders, exposure to innovative Human Resources practices and world class learning.

At Accenture, we are passionate about our 500,000 employees and how their innovation improves the way the world works and lives. Our people’s diverse strengths have grown Accenture to a $billion company that helps transform clients in 40 industries across 120 countries.

In Accenture’s people-first culture, Human Resources is a strategic part of our business. Our Human Resources team is a global network of talented, energetic professionals supporting Accenture’s vision and talent ambition to be the best place for the most highly specialised talent on the planet. We partner closely with the business, demonstrate operational excellence in HR service delivery and we continuously innovate to attract, develop and retain a highly engaged and differentiated workforce that serves our clients and makes Accenture an employer of choice.

This eight-week programme based in our London office will give you the chance to discover how HR is an integral part of Accenture. You will be placed on a project and in the final week you will present your findings to fellow interns, managers and members of the HR Leadership Team. This is a great chance to immerse yourself in the HR function and get involved in wider actives. You will have the opportunity to meet with members of the HR Leadership Team that will help you understand the various functions of HR. Your internship could take place in Recruitment, Field HR, Human Capital & Diversity, Employer Relations, Talent Supply Chain or Reward.

This internship gives you an invaluable opportunity to build strong foundational HR skills for a future career in HR. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on diverse local and global Human Resources priorities in areas such as Talent Strategy, Talent Supply Chain, Talent Architecture, Talent Analytics, Field Human Resources, and Learning & Talent Development.
  • Develop business acumen in addition to foundational and functional Human Resources skills.
  • Participate in world class Human Resources learning.
  • Work with and learn from talented and inspirational colleagues and leaders.
  • Thrive in an inclusive, empowering and aspirational environment.

You should be in your penultimate year of university and have a predicted minimum 2:1 in your degree. A strong communicator with great organisational skills and a passion for HR, you’ll be keen to develop foundational and functional Human Resources skills.

Rewards & benefits

We understand that what you earn and the benefits you receive have an enormous impact on your quality of life. Because we’re always competing to attract and retain the very best people, we continuously review our rewards strategy to make sure it’s the best it can be. It includes:

- Competitive pro rata salary
- A ‘buddy’ to support you throughout your time with us
- Opportunity to gain a permanent role after you graduate
- A personal laptop

Application process

The info you need to know about applying to an Accenture programme.

Online application

Applications for most programmes open in the autumn. To apply, you need to complete an online profile. You can only apply to one programme in any six month period but if you are unsuccessful you can apply to other roles.

Discovery Portal

If you are suitable for the role, you’ll be invited to our Discovery Portal. This is an interactive experience and takes about an hour, but there’s no time limit. You’ll receive feedback within a few days.

Assessment Centre

If you’re successful at the Discovery Portal stage, you’ll be invited to one of our assessment centres where you’ll take part in a variety of activities designed to help us find out what your strengths are.

Technical Interviews

For some of our programmes, the final stage will be one or two technical interviews with managers from the specialist area you have applied to work in. We’ll give you lots of advice before your interviews.

Well done! If you’re successful in all the stages we’ll offer you a place on the programme and tell you your start date. If you don’t pass, we’ll give you the opportunity to get feedback.

Three months before your start date, we’ll ask you to provide evidence of your academic results and two references. We’ll then send you details of your training week where we’ll welcome you into Accenture!
