The HR Talent Accelerator Programme is an incredible chance to explore and immerse yourself in a function that sits at the heart of Accenture’s business. This two-year rotational programme will see you experiencing the many different aspects of HR both here in the UK and in our international locations. As a valued team member, you will:

We will consider current students in their final year of university who are on track for a 2:1 or graduates with a strong academic background, HR-related degree/modules or proven interest in HR gained through work experience.

You will need to live within commutable distance of your home office, which will be London. During the two-year programme you will need to be prepared to travel.

Training & development

Your introduction to TAP kick starts with a week’s training in India with fellow TAPpers from around the world. After this training, you will begin your journey which will consist of five rotations across Accenture.

0-3 months – Consulting. Previous projects have included:

  • A new recruitment website for a major FMCG client
  • valuating mobile apps to develop the client’s Digital Learn capabilities
  • Planning the deployment of a global tech delivery programme

3-15 months – Internal HR (you will spend six months in two different teams which includes Recruitment/Field HR/Human Capital & Diversity/ER/Talent Supply Chain/Reward). Previous projects have included:

  • Managing internal supply and demand for Accenture Strategy and the Communications, Media & Technology Consulting practice
  • Working with Field HR, Finance and Procurement to provide innovative scheduling solutions within Talent Supply Chain
  • Designing and implementing the inaugural Tech Visionaries programme within the Early Career Recruitment Team
  • Gaining experience as a HR Career Advisor and managing the supply and demand balance within the practice, alongside evaluating chargeability data
  • Project managing initiatives aimed at reducing stigma, raising awareness and educating employees on the topic of mental health as part of the Human Capital & Diversity Team

15 - 18 months – Corporate Functions (Marketing/Govt. Relations/Legal/Accenture Research/Corporate Citizenship). Previous projects have included:

  • Creating and sharing content on all Accenture UK Careers social media channels and recruitment website as part of the Employer Branding team
  • Working with our DevOps team to create a series of webcasts for clients as part of the Marketing team

18 – 21 months – HR in an international office. Previous locations have been:

  • Buenos Aires working in the Inclusion & Diversity Team
  • Melbourne working in the global Ventures & Acquisitions Team

Following completion of TAP, you will be invited to apply for a role in HR from vacancies listed on our career marketplace where you will have the chance to continue your journey here at Accenture.

Application process

The info you need to know about applying to an Accenture programme.

Online application

Applications for most programmes open in the autumn. To apply, you need to complete an online profile. You can only apply to one programme in any six month period but if you are unsuccessful you can apply to other roles.

Discovery portal

If you are suitable for the role, you’ll be invited to our Discovery Portal. This is an interactive experience and takes about an hour, but there’s no time limit. You’ll receive feedback within a few days.

Assessment centre

If you’re successful at the Discovery Portal stage, you’ll be invited to one of our assessment centres where you’ll take part in a variety of activities designed to help us find out what your strengths are.

Technical interviews

For some of our programmes, the final stage will be one or two technical interviews with managers from the specialist area you have applied to work in. We’ll give you lots of advice before your interviews.

Offer

Well done! If you’re successful in all the stages we’ll offer you a place on the programme and tell you your start date. If you don’t pass, we’ll give you the opportunity to get feedback.

Onboarding

Three months before your start date, we’ll ask you to provide evidence of your academic results and two references. We’ll then send you details of your training week where we’ll welcome you into Accenture!
