Almost every day, I meet new and interesting people as I usually have at least 10 cross-border meetings every week. These engagements help expand my horizons and enable me to generate new ideas that will help our clients achieve and sustain rapid business growth.
One of the most exciting projects I’ve worked on was with a global transportation company where Accenture supported the consolidation of multiple companies into a larger organization.
Our project team, assigned across Singapore, Japan, US, United Kingdom and Brazil, has about 60 people. We collaborated with clients to develop everything to form this new large-scale global company such as its corporate vision, logo, strategic plans, office location and design, organizational structure, operating models among others. We also developed their ways of working through several initiatives that fully utilized Accenture’s capabilities in strategy consulting as well as technology and digital. It was fulfilling to see how we made a significant contribution to this momentous event for our client and just how this project perfectly demonstrated the power of Accenture’s scale, talent and technologies.
What I also like about Accenture is how it helps us to pursue our aspirations. For instance, the company completely supported my plan to leave my post at Accenture in Japan to take up my master’s in business administration (MBA) and then rejoin after finishing my MBA, albeit in Singapore. I wanted to be transferred at Accenture in Singapore to gain professional experience and access to growth markets. The company’s support, among other things, keeps me motivated to excel in my career.
Despite my busy schedule, I am still able to spend quality time with my family. I love playing with my two kids! We often go swimming and visit popular attractions such as Universal Studios and the Singapore Zoo.
