In my projects, I write the functional document our team uses to craft a solution to our client’s needs. From there, I am involved every step of the way, helping to fine-tune our innovation with review of test scripts and constant coordination with the client.
Every workday feels like an adventure as no two projects are alike. Presently, I am working on a megaproject with a 300-strong, multinational team, composed of management leads and test teams from Australia, developers from the Philippines and more. I feel lucky to be working with them—they’re the friendliest and most hardworking bunch of people I’ve ever met! Together, we work on constantly improving the delivery of our services by identifying challenges and pitching in ideas to resolve them swiftly.
Working in cohesion across borders presents its own challenges. We carry out all our communication online. To help ensure me and my teammates are constantly aligned, I use an organized tracker to record our agreements on calls, from answers to queries to decisions we make. It helps that my teammates are responsive and responsible.
For me, what stands out about Accenture as a company is its people. My colleagues are unafraid to take on new challenges. I love how open we are! We freely exchange perspectives and insights on various business situations and I often pick up an idea or two that I can bring to my project. I have also met experienced mentors who offer me guidance on career development. I appreciate it greatly as a newcomer not only to the company, but also to the industry.
As I work here, I acquire soft and hard skills and deepen my industry knowledge. For example, I have learned how to interact with and handle clients. I have developed a grasp on Java and SQL programming languages. Additionally, I have also uncovered best practices in writing functional documents and in scoping projects.
Outside of work, I love to travel, watch movies and spend time with my family.
