This SAP Enterprise Architect role is, first and foremost, a vertical specialist in SAP Plant Management / Enterprise Asset Management…but then there’s a twist – and it’s this twist that makes things super interesting!

Rather than remain solely within the EAM space, we’re looking for someone keen to step both outside their vertical comfort zone (into the broader SAP ERP world) and up into more of a pre-sales and holistic architecture focussed role. This is likely to challenge you in several ways, especially as you develop your confidence consulting across an enterprise, building your broader capability within HCM, SCM and Finance.  You won’t be architecting detailed solutions across the wider ERP suite – instead you will be working at a higher level, and much earlier in the process, before solutions are ever articulated. So, we would like to hear from those of you who come from strong Plant Maintenance/EAM solution architecture careers and who are now ready to step into the full spectrum of SAP ERP. You’ll need the self-motivation to keep step and self-learn, enabling you to understand complex business scenarios, articulate varying options and pave the way so that the the teams that come after you (who manage the actual implementations) ultimately succeed.

You will focus on engaging at the most senior client levels, verifying business needs and subsequently proposing the enterprise-level design.  To do this, you’ll need to evidence good experience in S4HANA.

This is a true consulting role which relies heavily on a broad knowledge of SAP, across both technical and functional streams, with dedicated vertical specialists to support you at the more detailed levels. Very much a team approach, you will be the one who presents to customers and ensures a fully coordinated effort.

With multiple Stakeholders within our customers as well as internally, this position calls for a natural relationship builder who has earned themselves a reputation for being a strong and intuitive leader. This position brings with it end-to-end accountability across pre-sales through to final delivery. You’ll own pre-sales activities and have responsibility for RFI’s and RFPs. You will work with Sales to capture requirements, with technical teams to understand landscape considerations and with functional teams to qualify options. You will own the process throughout and have responsibility for presenting the overall architecture solution. The emphasis in on enterprise architectural leadership and everything that stems from this.

In addition, you will work with a number of customers, who Zag has a long-standing strategic relationship with, creating and delivering architectural road maps. You will be looked to as a thought leader on future products and associated business direction for both Zag and our customers. Remember, much of this will be outside your vertical expertise, yet you'll be expected to work credibly with our clients.
