From words to data and information
I am a mathematician from Lithuania, and I love my work as a Data Scientist. My personal goal at Accenture is to learn as much as I can and become a Data science project manager.
But right now, I put all my energy into the fascinating projects that we work on.
On my current project, I focus on improving the Ontology Mining component. Ontology Mining classifies graph nodes into categories. We have created an advanced classifier using Artificial Intelligence methods and our tool gets better results than a Naïve classifier. Also, we imbedded the advanced classifier into Ontology Builder software. This project helps us ensure better cyber security capabilities for many companies. This product helps organizations around the world be safer from hacker attacks.

Once a math person… always
My work is interesting because I work with textual data. We embedded data with textual data embedding algorithms, and then performed an Exploratory Data Analysis. For that we used a range of visualization methods. Then, after I understood a bit more about the data, I performed advanced analytics using clustering algorithms, dimensionality reduction algorithms and more. After that I helped two domain experts to label the data. The result is an advanced classifier using ML algorithms. We used Python for this work.
Work is not everything. In my free time I spend time together with friends and read books. Of course, I also spend some time on investing and trading because, well, it involves math and money.
I really like that Accenture has such interesting projects and that I can work from home. To top it all off, the Accenture culture is supportive, and I have a great Project manager and People Lead.
