Job Description

• Effectively and efficiently manage a queue of orders to deliver transport and data services in the requested timeframe
• Order the necessary fibre jumpers to be used for path installation
• Generate fibre worksheets based on the provided design
• Submit site access requests and get the required approval
• Schedule material/equipment installation with the teams to ensure an efficient installation of data services • Ensure the material arrives as planned for upcoming installation tasks • Notify installation resources when material arrives • Carry out investigations into any missing material and aim to resolve
• Track progress of data service installation and demonstrate agility to overcome any challenges which may stop orders from completing on time
• Update and maintain the circuit database and other tools which store site information and inventory
• Provide updates into the order tracking system, escalating any issues to management
• Lead discussions with Carriers and external customers

Qualifications

Experience in managing a queue of orders / requests
• Experience working in a Telecom Network Operations Centre or Test and Activation environment would be desirable
• Be familiar with network path elements such as router port, patch panel, DWDM transport equipment
• Have a strong knowledge of troubleshooting across layer 1 and 2
• Have basic understanding of backbone network designs and fibre optic transmission line
• Understand data centres including point of presence and meet me room
