Junior Vendor Delivery Manager

The Role:

As a Junior Vendor Delivery Manager, you will essentially be responsible for placing orders for Voice, Data and Cross Connect services, ensuring the service is delivered efficiently and tight deadlines are met. You will own the process from order request through to completion. This role requires a person who is tech savvy with exceptional organisation and communication skills.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Placing order requests for services to vendors
  • Continuously coordinating with the vendor until the required service is delivered
  • Tracking order progress until completion and communicating order updates with the internal requester/customer
  • Ensuring a contract for each order is accurately created for billing purposes
  • Working towards and managing tight deadlines
  • Ensuring the SLA is met as expected
  • Leading discussions with carriers/vendors around outstanding orders, challenges, resolution, and updates
  • Handling multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring accountability for all


Qualifications

The Person:

Required Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Telecommunications / Network Provisioning / Technical Support (preferably with a Telecommunications / Communications Services company)
  • Basic knowledge of cabling infrastructure, fibre cabling, connector types, optical distribution frames, splice trays, patch panels and various vendor’s naming conventions would be beneficial
  • Basic knowledge on Telephony and how data/internet works

Necessary Skills and Competencies:

  • Good English (B2 minimum); both in written and verbal communications
  • Full computer literacy, including fluency with computers and software such as email, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Strong focus in providing an outstanding user experience, with exceptional customer engagement skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with 3rd party vendors and suppliers
  • Capable of managing high pressure and short timelines, with the willingness to be flexible
  • Able to effectively prioritise workloads to handle multiple requests simultaneously and adapt to changing projects and processes
