Senior Commercial Strategist 

About The Dock 

The Dock is Accenture’s flagship global innovation centre and research and development hub, based in Grand Canal Dock in Dublin 2. This role sits within the Product Strategy capability of The Dock's New Products & Services team. 

 

About your role 

As a Commercial Strategist, you will drive early-stage proposition development, review and understand the Ecosystem and potential partners, create the commercial strategy and the go-to-market plan to support the market launch of the innovative solutions we incubate in the New Products & Services team 

 

Your everyday abilities 

  • Validated experience in critically assessing new opportunities through client pain point identification, value proposition development and client sales pipeline identification 

  • Experience in developing relationships with key decision-makers at new and/or existing clients 

  • Experience in bringing project proposals to gain alignment with internal stakeholders  

  • Ability to interact with senior management levels at a client and/or internally, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters 

  • Ability to develop robust commercial models for new business products & services to ensure the commercial viability of new products & services 

  • Ability to synthesize findings and summarize a broad range of data inputs (e.g. industry & market trends, competitor dynamics, start-up ecosystem investments and current events) into frameworks that enable clear communication of data and insights 

  • Ability to source potential ecosystem partners for projects, market scanning & competitor analysis, creation and tracking of NDAs  

  • Ability to manage partner relationship strategies, working with the legal and procurement teams on licensing and commercial agreements and negotiations 

  • Proven track record of driving collaboration and stakeholder engagement across business functions. 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work with schedules, manage resources while focusing on team goals 

  • Proactive in approach, self-starter and requires minimum supervision 

  • Ability to work with cross functional and cross geography teams

Qualifications

Experience and qualifications 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in either; commercial/ business strategy, sales management, or product marketing management 

  • Familiarity of bringing new products, services, and assets to market 

  • Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort in front of large and small audiences.
