Role Summary
The Strategic Programs and Operations Lead will be a key member of the start-up team for Accenture Commercial Client Services. The successful candidate will join the executive committee and will collaborate across the leadership team and key stakeholders to build, implement and manage strong processes and programs to support the strategic objectives of this function. The Strategic Program and Operations Lead will develop expertise and knowledge of end-to-end processes, tools and initiatives to deliver strategic objectives. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the DOO and MD of ACCS in defining, delivering and implementing processes, tools and resourcing for the new function
  • Collaborate with global teams across the change program and corporate functions 
  • Support compliance with operating guidelines, internal controls and good governance
  • Develop reporting, presentations and other briefing materials, as needed, to provide data and insights on program implementation, business growth, and to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Support use, adoption, development and deployment of contract management-related tools in collaboration with CIO teams. These include ACES, MMR, MMS, SAP, and other document management and execution platforms. 
  • Develop training materials in collaboration with relevant teams. Support training and communications plans to ensure effective delivery
  • Support monitoring, audit & response as needed to identify, escalate and mitigate compliance risks. Help manage and respond to internal audits and related activities. 
  • Provide additional support, and assume additional responsibilities, as may be directed by the leadership of ACCS. 

  • Degree in business or operations management or related discipline required. Postgraduate or MBA qualification an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years + of relevant experience as a strategic program and operations manager (at Manager / Senior Manager level) 
  • Experience with managing operations and / or programs and initiatives in a shared services environment 
  • Experience with service management, relationship management, account management or client services is critical
  • Experience working with senior management.
  • Minimal travel required. As this is a management role in a startup part of the organization, the role is not suited to working remotely. The role will be based at an Accenture office in Dublin. 
  • Experience in Service Management and Account Management, Project Management, Business Process Design, Continuous Improvement, and Issue Resolution 
  • Experience with a Shared Services framework and operation
  • Pragmatic, business focused and with strong execution mindset 
  • Strong judgment, ability to prioritize and make decisions, and a high level of common sense, including the ability to identify and mitigate risks before they materialize
  • Strong business acumen, knowledge of Accenture’s business strategy (or similar business strategy at another company if experienced hire)
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong writing (including development of presentations) and communication skills
  • Influencing and facilitation skills
  • Coaching and development skills 
  • Analytical skills 
  • Extensive experience developing, implementing and managing corporate initiatives
  • Knowledge of Accenture’s contract management and related tools a strong advantage (such as ACES, MMR, MMS, SAP). 
  • Fluent in English
