Job Title: VAT Senior Analyst

Level: 10 – Senior Analyst

Location: Dublin 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Support in the preparation & review of VAT returns, ESL and Intrastat process as well as VAT account reconciliations
  • Develop knowledge of VAT Principles that apply to the business and keep up to date with legislative changes
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of tools and applications in support of the VAT and PSA (PAYE Settlement Agreement - BIK tax) process
  • Manage PSA reports preparation and oversee the end to end PSA process
  • Coordinate tasks among a group of analysts for monthly PSA accrual process
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with UK Employment tax team, Global Tax Group and other internal stakeholders
  • Participate in internal projects to minimize and mitigate VAT/PSA compliance risks
  • Support the transition of VAT activities in country into a centralized VAT team
  • Ensure that all reporting and deliverables are accurate and met on a timely basis
  • Perform customer & vendor invoice compliance analysis and follow up on corrections
  • Participate in training and collaborate with different internal teams to ensure VAT compliance
  • Participate in team meetings and specific VAT review calls
  • Strive to add value to current processes through automation, simplification & standardisation
  • Support Manager and Specialists on queries, reporting and ad-hoc projects and ensure internal controls are met.

Qualifications and Experience  

  • Degree in Business, Tax. Finance or equivalent qualification would be preferable.  Relevant experience can supersede degree requirements
  • Min. 2+ years’ experience in a tax and accounting environment working in VAT
