A newly established division within Accenture Management Consulting is Industry X.0, which helps companies transform their development manufacturing and quality control functions through both –

  1. Driving bottom line growth through efficiency gains and shorter lead times through the application of enhanced business process, technology, automation and digitization, and
  2. Driving top line growth through development of new connected products, platforms and services by utilizing enhanced business process, technology, automation and digitization to ensure that company groups can cope with the increased complexity associated with these innovations

In your role within our Industry X.0 team, you’ll help clients take advantage of significant market opportunities and transform their business.  You will support companies in breaking down silos between manufacturing, supply chain, quality and R&D and to embrace concepts around the factory-of-the-future, lab- and supply-chain-of-the-future into the core of industry, in product development and manufacturing environments. You’ll help them transform their product, manufacturing and product related services value chains in Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, Telecoms and Utilities. Job Description

The focus of this role will be to deliver strategic and tactical transformational projects for our clients, collaborating with colleagues in Accenture Digital and Technology to deliver Digital/IT solutions related to R&D and Engineering (including PLM, Digital twin and thread) and Manufacturing (including MES), quality control (LIMS, CDS, ELN, LES) to Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, Utilities and Telecoms clients and drive forward “factory of the future” projects

What responsibilities will you have?
  • Support implementation, delivery and further development of Accenture’s Industry X.0 strategy in Ireland, covering Life Sciences (pharmaceuticals and medical devices), Consumer Goods, Automotive
  • Grow and lead the multi-disciplinary team responsible for the delivery of this work for Irish clients.
  • Work closely with account teams and business services teams to drive origination, build pipeline and achieve sales targets.
  • Grow and lead the multi-disciplinary team responsible for the delivery of consultancywork for Irish clients.
  • Proactively originate and build client and client account relationships leading to qualified opportunity identification.
  • Leverage Accenture's assets, client, industry, growth platform and subject matter experts and leaders to enable improved sales and delivery
  • Develop industry focused sales campaigns aligned to the needs of specific industry clients, in areas such as new connected products, connected operations, digital plants, connected workers, connected assets, and analytics.
  • Work closely with our product development and offering teams to define our solutions so that they can be incorporated into our vertical offerings and support our product/roadmap enhancements, continuous feedback and improvements.
  • Actively engage in the marketplace to drive awareness of our Industry X.0 proposition with targeted clients and also support recruitment
  • Orchestrate Industry X.0 demand generation activities through leading client workshops, developing sales materials.
  • Participate in account planning to develop and other ongoing sales cadence initiatives.

What academic qualifications do you need?

  • A degree in science or engineering (mechanical or chemical particularly of interest) is essential
What skills & experience are we looking for?
  • 5+ years’ experience in a technology / management consultancy-focused position with a proven track record of delivering projects for clients in the manufacturing, life science, supply chain or quality spaces
  • 5+ years’ experience as an SME / Project Manager within the Life Science / Manufacturing / Supply Chain industry
  • Strong familiarity with the IT architecture associated with advanced manufacturing, R&D, supply chain and quality (ERP, MES, APS, PLM, LIMS, Historian etc)Familiarity with latest trends and vendor landscape in Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing (including advanced automation, robotics and cobotics, additive manufacturing, machine vision, extended reality etc)
  • Strong degree of “data fluency” relating to trends in data analytics and data visualisation
  • Knowledge of associated regulatory constraints is highly desirable, but not essential.  
  • A collaborative mindset and approach to building strong client-centric relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Digitally minded with a passion for championing the development of the “factory of the future”
