AFS has created a Drupal-based Content Management System (CMS) that has enabled the construction of our client’s primary public-facing websites.

The Senior Drupal Developer will be responsible for developing backend CMS components and operating the CMS platform.

The key job responsibility to provide technical expertise to create CMS components.  Additional responsibilities include:

  • Designs CMS components and creates technical approaches.
  • Follows structured Agile processes and offers improvements.
  • Proactively communicate status to project managers and leadership and identifies risks.
  • Provides mentorship and direction to development team members.
  • Execute DevOps processes and software builds.
  • Defines and implements migration approach from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of Drupal 7 site building/API experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of LAMP stack experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of PHP development experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Linux proficiency/shell scripting experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of SQL/MySQL experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Git experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Drupal 8 site building/API.
  • 2 years of JIRA.
  • 2 years of Tableau.

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
