Job Title: AWS Connected Building Service Owner

JOB PURPOSE

 

To manage and develop Connected Building Services at Accenture Innovation Centre (The Dock).

 

SCOPE

 

Located in the heart of Dublin’s tech quarter, The Dock is a multidisciplinary research and incubation hub. Home to 200 designers, developers and experts in artificial intelligence, analytics and IoT, The Dock is where Accenture investigate, imagine and bring new ideas to life.


Our state-of-the-art facility allows us to collaborate and co-create with clients, universities and start-ups. Fitted with over 10,000 sensors and the latest IoT technology, The Dock is a world leading connected building.


Reporting to Accenture Workplace Solutions Associate Manager , the Connected Building Service Owner supports design, implementation, operation and evaluation of Connected Building Solutions, which enable a personalised, comfortable, healthy, productive and energy-efficient environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Operations: 

  • Responsible for ongoing operations and support of Connected Building Solutions including but not limited to:
  • Principal point of contact for Connected Building Solutions.
  • Work closely with Technology Services Local to maintain Connected Building Solutions.
  • Monitoring of availability and functionality of Connected Building Solutions via functionality audits.
  • Issue tracking and issue remediation management including driving escalations.
  • Stakeholder Management – responsible for relationship management between various groups such as Leadership, onsite support teams and suppliers.
  • Manage Supplier performance for service lines owned to ensure Accenture receive best value from the Supplier and ensure that service delivery meets contracted SLAs with reported evidence.
  • Knowledge Management – responsible for support model design and operating manuals as well as documenting any updates through the change management process.
  • Provision of scheduled operational reporting and recommendations and bespoke reporting where required.

Service Development:

  • Work with on own and/or with AWS Management to establish and evolve strategic direction of Connected Building Solutions to drive innovative enhancements including but not limited to:
  • Work closely with experts of the Dock to deliver Connected Building Solutions Projects.
  • Procurement of hardware, software and services and vendor contract negotiations;
  • Project management including vendor & supplier management and resolution management;
  • Compilation of lesson learned from implementation, operation and use of solution with regard to reliability, functionality and usability;
  • Business Case calculations based on actual data e.g. energy savings;
  • Develop proposals how to improve reliability and effectiveness of solutions.
  • Work closely with Global Accenture teams to share knowledge, implement new solutions and to obtain any required operational assistance.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ACCREDITATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Third level Degree e.g. IoT, Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or Controls and Instrumentation.
  • A good knowledge and experience is required of:
    • IT and sensor technology
    • Facility management, building construction, engineering and building services focus on HVAC
    • Research and ability to draw information from various sources
    • Business case calculations and decision paper preparations
    • Procurement and negotiation
    • Project management
    • Stakeholder management
    • Interpersonal, relationship-building and networking
    • Ability to multitask and to prioritize and plan own workload
    • Team working and ability to lead and motivate others
