The lead person is responsible for the daily activities of an assigned area to ensure the efficient operation of the departments workflow. The lead person will have the ability to step into the Supervisor Manager role when necessary.
Job Description
  • Plan, prioritize and schedule daily work
  • Work within full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Review Bill of Materials and Bill of Lading to ensure item number accuracy and availability
  • Ensures that all established Service Level Agreements are met with the client in relationship to timeliness of volume processed and quality of work produced
  • Resolve process problems as they occur to ensure production is maintained and SLAs are met
  • Adjust agency hours as needed in absence of manager
  • Assume the responsibilities of a supervisor, when necessary
  • Monitor attendance and punctuality of regular agency staff
  • Enforce safety regulations by promoting support of QSHE within the work unit
  • Document staff performance to contribute input into the employee performance reviews
  • Interact in a professional manner with all internal/external clients representing the department in a positive way
  • Responsible to train and/or assist in the training of new, borrowed and/or loaned and agency staff
  • Support management of changes in the work process by demonstrating a positive attitude with support staff
  • Complete and distribute daily and monthly reports on a timely basis as required
  • Train competently on internal MRP systems E1 and SeNT with the ability to do transfers and reconciliation for the program
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
  • Minimum of High school diploma or GED
 Professional Skill Requirements
  • Familiarity with PC based systems and have the ability to retrieve and edit computer files within internal proprietary systems including Oracle, Excel, Word and various web based applications
  • Familiarity with basic material handling equipment, such as feeders, booklet shrink wrappers, heat tunnels, stacker, kit labeler, pallet shrink wrapper, etc.
  • Ability to drive power operated equipment or ability to be trained within 60 days to drive designated  equipment
  • Proven basic math skills at the high school level
  • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds
  • Ability to provide training to less experienced Material Handlers
  • Ability to read and understand job aids and layouts
  • Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate
  • Ability to efficiently solve problems
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to interact within a team environment
  • Adapt to a constant changing environment
  • Must be receptive to multiple task and have ability to move between functions and work hours, may be required to work off shifts and/or weekends
