As a Software Product Architect, you will be:
  • An authority for a family of products in within the organisation change and transformation domain and in its platform stack, component and deployment architecture.
  • Defining developing PoCs and ensuring adherence to architecture and performance standards.
  • An ambassador for emerging technology for the Product space.
  • Defining tech requirements and design software architecture.
  • Participating in detailed design and code reviews, review system performance, consumption issues, test plans and address resolve Product issues.
  • Involved in presales, sales and support activities.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Address performance problems as needed
  • Support presales and sales efforts on an ad hoc basis
  • Provide training and support to presales engineers as needed
  • Plan and develop technical standards for Client Implementation and or Product Development Teams
  • Develop use cases, scenarios and other design artefacts.
  • Participate in the functional and technical design of the product
  • Lead, direct or participate in new technology adoption
  • Participate in design code and test reviews as appropriate
  • Perform testing and impact analysis for software defect and provide inputs.
  • Develop or support development of user training, documentation, conversion tools, etc
  • Understand market driven business needs objectives and technology trends and requirements to participate with Product manager to define architecture requirements and strategy
  • Responsible for strategy, plan and design on how the technology and the technology architecture will support the software requirements.
  • Conduct impact analyses of changes and requirements to the technical architecture and technology of the software
  • Analyse, determine, and document technical requirements for release, enhancement or defect.
  • Serve as process expert coach for the team analysis and design process
  • Support methods adoption and act as a subject matter specialist in how to build deliverables most cost effectively
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices identify and drive productivity improvements. Identify and initiate continuous improvement opportunities
  • Develop and assess quality standards
Professional Skills Requirements:
  • A least 3 years working in an architectural or technical lead role
  • A track record of analysis and resolution of complex technical problems and delivery of creative technical solutions
  • Deep hands on experience with Ruby, C/C++ and JavaScript
  • Experienced using one or more of the following Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, redis, jQuery, D3, sidekiq, node.js
  • Experience crafting and implementing technologies and processes supporting Software Development activities e.g. configuration and build management tools, continuous integration
  • Broad knowledge and experience of the modern technology landscape, including infrastructure and application domains with a particular focus on Cloud and Open Source
  • Ability to define and implement appropriate Software Development Life Cycle processes in a complex environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication written and oral and interpersonal skills
