Role description

Provide expertise in the planning, constructing and execution of test scripts. Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team s overall test objectives. Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable. Track defects to closure and keep defect repository up to date.


Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.

  • Execute test scripts.

  • Record problems and issues in accordance with the project's problem and issue management plans.

  • Document defects using the project’s defect management tools.

  • Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.

  • Participate in the release control process (when the application is transferred from the build team to the test team) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.

  • Validate product fixes.

  • Inform the test lead of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process.

  • Preparing test data based on functional spec

  • Have worked with industry testing tools and have test automation experience.

  • Prepare and deliver solutions training activities to business users.

Professional Skill Requirements

  • Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable

  • Relevant tertiary qualification

  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Desire to work in an information systems environment

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
