Business Process Services professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology.  They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Business Process Services professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world. 

The Position:

The Analytics and Modeling Specialist will lead and assume ownership of centralised spend and savings reporting capabilities as part of the operations transformation Team.  They will also lead internal shared services team of data analysts through data cleansing and analysis phases leading to spend analysis, realised savings reporting, and other procurement analyses that support internal and external teams.

The salary range is AUD$100K –AUD$135K.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage tasks assigned to data analysts; maintain metrics on accuracy and timeliness; utilise data to improve performance and processes
  • Perform procurement spend analytics and optimisation activities
  • Work with other Reporting and Analytics resources on pipeline prioritisation and managing timelines to meet and exceed customer expectation
  • Collaborate with internal practice leaders, solution design leaders, and prospect executives across the spend analytics process
  • Support data analysts through monthly spend and savings reporting as it relates to standardisation, scalability, and accuracy
  • Identify and execute key internal improvements across the centralised reporting team enhancing spend analytics processes
  • Provide oversight to Reporting & Analytics Analysts
  • Oversee and lead transition of work tasks to offshore teams
  • Build project plans and execute against them for various special projects to improve client satisfaction and internal handoffs between Procurement teams 
  • Support key projects through advanced analytics enablement
  • Support rapid cost-takeout programs through build of spend cubes

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience specific to cognitive research, market data analysis, financial and pricing analysis, forecasting techniques, and competitive analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (business/finance/economics/engineering/ mathematics) or equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in Access, PowerPoint, and Word preferred
  • Knowledge of the European and Asia-Pacific business environment and culture
  • SQL experience a plus

  • Ability to communicate with customers in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently and multi-task
  • Ability to prioritise and organise effectively
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires travel of approximately 40% to multiple customer locations
