Profile/Role Description- Manager


Change Management professionals provide knowledge and experience related to the skills, structures, tools and support mechanisms needed to manage change and to foster an environment conducive to sustaining that change.


A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Identifying and growing client opportunities – with existing and/or new clients
  • Co-design, plan, manage and deliver fast-paced, innovative change solutions using Accenture best practice assets and tools
  • Plan and manage an end-users journey as part of a Business Transformation Program
  • Developing strong business relationships with clients
  • Working closely with business and senior stakeholders to ensure the change program is pragmatic and business-led
  • Developing change management and training strategies and plans, including work management plans, to deliver the required business outcomes on time and in budget
  • Managing and facilitating change impact assessments and communication and engagement plans and materials
  • Managing the development of training needs analysis, curriculum plans, training materials and training deployment plans
  • Managing and developing business readiness approaches/plans and measuring outcomes from readiness activities
  • Managing the implementation of business transition activities
  • Managing to deliverable dates and managing change team workload priorities to overall work plan requirements and keep client and Accenture program managers/ directors on status, risks and issues
  • Identifying and managing risks and issues associated with team deliverable requirements
  • Assessing the effectiveness of Change Management initiatives implemented and providing direction/action plans as required.
  • Leading and managing large diverse teams, client and/or Accenture
  • Support growing client opportunities and business development activities to help expand our practice– with existing and/or new clients including estimation and proposal development
  • Takes initiative and proactively identifies and brings new ideas and innovation to clients

Basic Qualifications (must be specific and measurable)

  • Bachelor's Degree · Minimum 5 – 8  years Change Management experience, ideally within a consulting environment
  • Experience working successfully with senior stakeholders
  • Change Management certification is highly desirable but not essential
  • Must be able to travel, as project work is conducted on client premises
  • Demonstrated ability to lead medium to large teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project engagements and opening up new opportunities with businesses
  • Desirable experience with Public Service organisations at a local, state or federal government level is highly desirable
  • Experience with human centred design

Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Clearance is mandatory for this role (must be an Australian Citizen) and current Baseline security clearance would be highly advantageous


Preferred Skills

Skills and hands on experience implementing portions of large-scale organisational change programs related to enabling systems and process change.


This may include but is not limited to:

  • Skills and experiences in other related Talent organisation Performance areas such as Human Capital, organisational Effectiveness, Learning Collaboration, and Behaviour Change
  • Experience working with Project Management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle. Experience with work planning, status reporting, issue / risk management
  • Ability to adapt your style and approach to meet stakeholder needs

  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to manage expectations and deliverables throughout the change process
  • Ability to work in a complex client environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence to achieve a successful outcome
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement pragmatic business solutions
  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, being flexible to change approach/direction, as required
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Powerpoint and Excel
