Business Process Services professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology.  They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Business Process Services professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world. 

 

 

The Position:

 

The Supplier Relationship Specialist (is a dynamic role responsible for helping lead pieces of our Procurement SRM offering to our internal and/or commercial Procurement Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) clients.  Within the role, there are 3 primary groupings of responsibilities corresponding to the different “jobs” the Specialist may be asked to perform:

 

·       Supplier Manager (SM)

·       Client Program Lead (CPL)

·       SRM Consultant (SRMC)

 

Job Responsibilities: 

 

The Supplier Manager position is unique to the internal Accenture client and has responsibilities for managing 1 or more strategic supplier relationships.  These suppliers are typically core to Accenture Operations commercial offerings (e.g. HR BPO, Supply Chain BPO, Procurement BPO, etc.) or our corporate functions (HR, Contingent Labor, etc.). In this role you will be responsible for:

 

·       Managing the supplier relationship across in-scope SRM services including Performance Management, Risk and contractual compliance, Buying Support and Financial Management

·       Client and supplier stakeholder management

·       Scorecard design and development

·       Supplier continuous improvement

·       Savings realization

 

The Client Program Lead position is for both internal and commercial clients. In this job you will be responsible for:

 

·       Day-to-day SRM delivery responsibility (scope, timeliness, quality, costs, savings) across all in-scope services and suppliers for 1 or more clients

·       Account Management and Front office (aka Practice) relationship management and coordination

·       Status reporting

·       Back-office coordination and management

·       Facilitating any required Supplier Segmentation activities

·       Providing SRM subject matter expertise to Front and Back Office functions

·       Collaboration with Supplier Managers, Backoffice and support resources

 

The SRM Consultant job is primarily for the external client.  In this job you will have the following responsibilities:

·       Executing a mixture of SRM activities across suppliers for 1 or more external client customers (e.g. travel, HR, facilities, etc.)

·       Conducting as-is vs. to-be SRM activity analysis and identifying the gaps,

·       Proposing and drafting to-be governance models,

·       Preparing for and helping facilitate “umbrella” governance activities

·       Assisting in SRM Platform demonstrations

·       Assisting in Platform configurations for Clients

·       Assisting with PMO functions for Clients

·       Supporting conduct of SRM Overview sessions and guidance.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

·       Bachelor's degree

·       Minimum 6 years’ experience in Supplier Management experience, Procurement experience and/or experience in a supplier operational capacity

·       Minimum 2 years business operations management

·       Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience

·       Minimum 2 years of experience working with virtual teams

·       Minimum 2 years of experience in client facing roles – directly responsible for delivering on significant pieces of scope, quality, budget, resources, and schedule

·       Minimum 2 years of experience and demonstrated ability to review and understand supplier agreements, standard T&C’s, and their relationship to commercials

·       Minimum 2 years of experience authoring and/or leading the review of key, post sourcing, contractual documents such amendments or Statements of Work

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

·       Quality Program experience

·       Financial Operations experience (PO Mgmt, Invoicing, Internal finance)

·       Sales Support and mobilization experience (Deal shaping, estimating, planning and execution of mobilization activities).

·       Proven negotiation skills

·       Technology Management experience preferred

 

Professional Skills:

 

·       Proven experience working with and influencing multiple stakeholders including senior leadership

  • Demonstrated ability in strategic sourcing methodology’s

·       Knowledge of Professional Services and IT categories and/or experience in or ability to research and understand additional categories as assigned

·       Strong communication skills – ability to drive effective communications with senior internal and client leadership

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

·       Demonstrated ability to proactively and independently lead delivery of operational activities

  • Ability to drive or support transformational change
  • Solid multi-phase project management skills

 

Travel Requirements:

  • This position may require travel to multiple client locations depending on SRM demand

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supplier Management experience, Procurement experience and/or experience in a supplier operational capacity

  • Minimum 3 years business operations management

  • Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with virtual or cross functional teams

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in client facing roles – directly responsible for delivering on significant pieces of scope, quality, budget, resources, and schedule

  • Minimum 3 years of experience and demonstrated ability to review and understand supplier agreements, standard T&C’s, and their relationship to commercials

  • Minimum 2 years of experience authoring and/or leading the review of key, post sourcing, contractual documents such amendments or Statements of Work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven negotiation skills

  • Quality Program experience and leadership

  • Financial Operations experience (PO Mgmt, Invoicing, Internal finance)

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working with and influencing multiple stakeholders including senior leadership

  • Technology Management experience

Professional Skills:

  • Coaching experience; ability to nurture and guide junior resources

  • Strong communication skills – ability to drive effective communications with senior internal and client leadership

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively and independently lead delivery of operational activities

  • Ability to drive transformational change

  • Solid multi-phase project management skills

  • Manage diverse teams to maximize performance and accomplish the business outcome

  • Manage and resolve team/personnel performance issues

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires travel of approximately up to 10% to multiple customer locations
