In this client-facing role as a manufacturing 4.0 / Industry X evangelist, you will be responsible for business development, designing and the deliver of transformational type of work impacting the manufacturing operations on a large scale, for complex accounts operating in a multi-geography delivery model.

This is a unique role which provides an opportunity to build a business and a practice – focused on bringing the best of Accenture to clients in digital manufacturing.

It is expected this Manufacturing lead possesses a strong delivery and consulting background combined with proven technical acumen in running shop floor operations and optimization programmes including having a good understanding of asset maintenance, yield – throughput – recipe management, cloud infrastructure on the shop floor, PLM, MES, Internet of Things, IT/OT Integration, mobile applications and Connected worker type of solutions

Key Responsibilities in the Manufacturing domain:

  • Identify areas of value and create proposals for clients

  • Assess client’s digital As-Is capabilities and develop the To-be solution.  

  • Support the sales process from origination to successful closing (including offering fine tuning, solution shaping, proposal preparation, client presentation)

  • Propose and build solutions that are backed by a strong value proposition and develop a business case that demonstrates ROI for the client

  • Strong problem solving, solution architecture and critical thinking skills 

  • Effective communicator in technical as well as business discussions

  • Team leadership and people management skills

  • Ability to offer solutions to various plant related problems covering both operations and technology

  • Effective interpersonal skills essential to maintaining good working relationships and empathy with both technical and non-technical staff, including the ability to communicate well with a wide variety of users, of very differing levels of business and IT skills.

  • Experience of operating within a global organisation with a proven ability to deliver against Group wide initiative

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to produce technical documentation when required.

  • Excel in Powerpoint, word, excel and using those to story tell

  • Experience in MES / MOM, PLM

  • Identify industry, business and technology / digital trends which can be applied for building / maintaining greenfield and brownfield solutions

  • Be a part of the customer facing development team and lead building/helping build POCs/systems.

  • Work with relevant partners/vendors to help lift-and-shift or re-engineer the existing solutions

Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in running / managing manufacturing operations OR being in a consulting role helping clients realize tangible ROI from manufacturing programmes

Must Have Skills : Strong manufacturing background and understanding of shop floor applications and architecture, in-depth understanding of levers and impact areas for manufacturing plants; good knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, tools and processes in this space

Good To Have Skills: MES / PLM / IOT experience

Job Requirements:

Technical Experience:

  • Proven track record and expertise in the application of digital tools, technologies and IoT Solutions including but not limited to sensors, cloud & edge computing, wireless connectivity, and analytics/AI/ML in the manufacturing / operations space

  • Experience in working with OEMs with deep knowledge of specific types of assets

  • Application of Digital Twin, Digital Thread in the delivery of smart IOT solutions

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure concepts related to GCP / Azure / AWS

Professional Attributes:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer science / mechanical / Industrial / Electrical / Electronics

  • Ability to build from good relationships with clients/operational managers and colleagues
